Infinite Edit Time

The edit time now been reduced to 1 hour. We'll see how this works out.

The edit time has been put back to infinite. This was sort of an experiment.
I think the need for people to correct mistakes is more important than preventing the occasional disgruntled member from wiping out useful information.

Is it abuse to delete posts? Sometimes I might share something and later decide it's too personal and want to delete it. This has happened to me several times today already just in the last couple of hours. You want it all cast in stone? Wow if what I have done is abuse then something is wrong. They are my words. It's my content. It's owned by me. I took it away. I change content all the time. Some people work that way. WTF is happening to this place? I'm tempted to delete everything again right now. Sorry, but you don't own my words. If you take away edit I am gone.

i think you can edit a post just not delete it so you could edit it to remove or replace the content with a smiley or something.
