who is the manufacturer, E-city or ElCon charger(tiecheng)

Postby nancylooloo@yahoo.cn » Tue Mar 30, 2010 11:58 pm

E-city has the same chargers as ours since they buy our chargers. We a manufacturing company specialized in battery chargers and DC/DC converters.
Recently, I got lots of emails asking who is the manufacturer. I am sorry for confusing potential customers, getting tried to make explaination, showing lots of evidence, feel innocent to be doubt.

At present, we haven't authorized any company as a dealer in China for exporting our chargers. We'll find a way to control that trading companys who state they are the manufacturers.

Re: ElCon Charger for Sale

Postby AndyH » Wed Mar 31, 2010 2:01 am

I am on my fourth charge with one of Nancy's 1500W chargers and it is excellent. It's a much better charger than the Thunder Sky TSL60-15 I've been using for the past year.

The purchase was very easy. We coordinated via email, exchanged a purchase order for an invoice, I wired dollars, and received the charger about 4 hours after the tracking number showed up in the FedEx system.

She's the real deal. :)

Ambrose,

CAN is for CAN Bus it's an interdevice communication protocol - it would likely allow monitoring and control of the charger from a device with a CAN bus interface = )_

CAN is Controller Area Network btw if you wanted to research it on google.

Hope it helps!

310$ for a 1500W output charger that have an internal PFC ( power factor corrector) is excellent.

I have a question: since it have a PFC that also increase the efficiency of that charger, can it give 1500W DC output continuous from a single 120V ac 15A outlet?

My Meanwell PFC 1500W power supply can do that.. but it cost 428$

that woudl be a great cheap solution for geting max DC output from a single 120V 15A outlet!

TCcharger for Sale

Hi, Doc, It outputs approximately 1200W from single 110Vac and current does not exceed 15A. Therefore, 1500W charger can provide continuous output.

Hi Nancy,

In your price sheet you have both major rows listed as "single phase", should the second major row be "three (3) phase" ? For example the single phase 110 volt 8Kw inverter would pull over 70 amps from the mains. Perhaps a typographical error?

Hi, it's not a error. I just put small power chargers 1.5KW, 2KW, 3KW together and large power chargers 4KW, 6KW, 8KW together. However, they're all use at single phase.

Charging for Lead-acid battery

Postby nancylooloo@yahoo.cn » Sat May 08, 2010 4:31 am

As for Lead-acid battery charger, ElCon charger can be well configured for US battery or Trojan Battery. Algorithm are compatible for these batteries.

Usually we set the charging profile by pre-programming here and we customizes 10 charging curves before delivery according to battery condition. These are 10 combinations of voltage and battery size for the same battery type.
Take 240V Flooded battery as a example, we make curves and put a sticker on the charger as below,
22.jpg
22.jpg (40.06 KiB) Viewed 1878 times

You can switch any of settings and change AH size you need by the button on the charger.

Charging for Lithium battery

Postby nancylooloo@yahoo.cn » Sat May 08, 2010 4:32 am

As for LiFePO4 battery charger, we set one of these two working modes at factory. Either working mode 1 or working mode 2:
1. CAN module control option. This is a working mode when use BMS which has CAN communication function. Please connect CAN bus through plugging in CAN module.
We set CAN ID and CAN module type at factory at customer's request. Specified and CAN communication protocol supported is set up before delivery.
2. Mini BMS or Battery protector option. This is a working mode when use battery protector or BMS(no CAN communication function). Charging can be switched on or off the charging through charging enable control wire like charging process below,

When two enabling wires connect, charger starts cc charging while gets the external signal. And begin to charging CV when it reaches max voltage. During CV period, it stops charging automatically until current falls until to a preset value. If external signal is removed, charging stops as well.

Can you send me a graphical listing of the 10 programmable charge curves for lead acid batteries for the 1500W HF/PFC charger? I have 16 US Battery US145 XC 6 volt for a total pack voltage of 96volts. What should the highest ending voltage under charge be?
Thnk you,

You can switch any of these AH setting you need.
96V Flooded battery-1.5KW(Algorithms_116)
Curve Amp Hour I3 Curve Amp Hour I3
1) 50.7~60.9ah; 1.61A 6) 126.1~151.4ah; 4.02A
2) 60.9~73.1ah; 1.94A 7) 151.4~181.6ah; 4.82A
3) 73.1~87.7ah; 2.33A 8) 181.6~218.0ah; 5.79A
4) 187.7~105.1ah; 2.79A 9) 218.0~261.6ah; 6.94A
5) 105.1~126.1ah; 3.35A 10) 261.6~313.9ah; 8.33A
As far as I know, the highest ending voltage may 15.5V under charger for per cell for for flooded battery. It may 14.8V for AGM.
However, it depends on the characteristic of your battery. Customers can also check it with battery manufacturers.

In your reply, you wrote "the highest ending voltage may 15.5V under charger for per cell for for flooded battery". Did you mean 2.58 per cell for a 12 vol battery? Does that correlate to 7.75 per battery for a 6 volt battery? My charger the PFC 1500w) is charging my 96 volt lead acid pack to a whopping 136 volts!! @2.83 per cell. Can I change this voltage output before this thing damages my batteries?
Thanks,
Steve
