finally. after a month of running down parts, making drawings and other things i'm getting back to working on the trike. i'm still working on building parts for the rear axle. the first assembly i completed was the mid- drive version of the NuVinci hub.
on the input side i have a 20t freewheel that will be attached to a 44t chainring at the cranks. it is threaded on to the NuVinci input adapter. beside it is a 27t sprocket that is welded to the back of the NuVinci adapter. i have a machined washer between the two so there is enough room for both chains. the 27t will go to a 13t freewheel on the output shaft of the motor unit.
this is how it looks from the back.
i drilled a few holes in a 20t sprocket and mounted it to the disc brake adapter on the output side of the NuVinci. this sprocket will attach through another chain to a 20T sprocket that will be mounted on the rear axle differential.
next step is to finish work on the differential.
