Controller for BladeZ XTR Street

Postby sparr » Wed Sep 22, 2010 12:08 pm

I'm new to shopping for scooter controllers. I've got a BladeZ XTR Street. It has a 24V brushed motor (just two power leads to the motor, that can't be brushless, right?) fused for 30A (rated for 20A, I think) and 2x12V SLA batteries. The throttle goes from approx 9k (0%) to 5k (100%), but I could probably adjust or reverse that with some judicious pot and resistor substitution. The power switch is "soft" (connects to the controller, not inline with the batteries).

At a minimum, I'm looking for a throttle controller. I can put a power switch inline with the batteries and wire up the charger separately if I have to. I'd prefer to find a controller that can handle the soft power switch and charging as well, if possible. Can anyone recommend a controller that could work for me for this project?

PS: Price is a factor. I can get the exact replacement controller for $120, but I'd prefer to find something significantly cheaper.

TNCscooters should have a few 24v controllers for you.

i would add another battery in series for 36v,and order the ct-660b9 36v controller from tnc.bladez scooters haul ass on higher voltage.i've also had good luck running that controller at 48v.my kid's custom bladez ptv. runs 36v with the stock controller and does 24 mph.
