Question (1) is there a difference between the 48 & 60 volt controllers (2) can the LVC on the 60v controller be adjusted so I can run both of my battary pack?
So you still have 60v controllers forsale?

Thanks
Frank

hmmm, the 4840 controller,can you tell me what fets you have in there and how many? i believe my 4840 was only 6 fets,although i may be wrong and unless im mistaken the 4840 is 48v40amps correct?ok as for the controllers i have yes,i still have the 60v48amp 18fet controllers irfb 4110 genuine,you cannot run this at 48v as the lvc cuts out at 48v,,,,so unless you are an electronics guy maaayyybbeee and i say maybe because i just dont do mods,you can change the lvc to cuttoff at a lower voltage.but i can tell you this,according to crystalyte it is not advisable to change the volts on these 18fet 48amp controllers,,,,the 35 amps they can and are sending me new 48v-72v 35amp 12 fet 4110 controllers with the lvc only operable at the 48v level,so if you chose to buy one of these you will not have lvc cutoff when using higher volts above the 48v level.so if for example you are using 60v the controller will keep on running to the point of destroying your batteries :shock: so unless your batteries have its own lvc circuit it is not advisable to run anything more than 48v just because of the lvc factor,otherwise these controllers will handle up to 72v without any problems.

I have a BMC 1000W V.3 motor that I can't get working properly with the infineon controller (or any infineon I tried ), so will these Xlyte controllers (72V) work ok?
Has anyone else tried this with the V.3 BMC motor and got it to work, and if so, can they post their wiring codes?

72V50amp 18 FET controllers with GENUINE 4110 MOSFETS including all plugs for Cycle analyst,cruise control,low medium high switch,forward reverse switch,brake,throttle,etc. $250.00 ////NOW $220

Thanks,

..if it will work, I will order one right away.

the v3 doesn't like digital controllers, here are a few threads on it, there are 3-4 others if you do a search.

i just found out that the new 5x series does not accept the standard 14g spoke as it goes right through the hole,you must use a 12g,,,,,standard rims only accept 14g,but we have a solution,,,,there is an alexis rim with no eyelets and the holes can be easily drilled to fit the 12g,,,,any rim without eyelets can be used in this fashion,,,i mention the alexis as it is reasonably priced (25.00)and my bike mechanic assures me it is a solid rim. i will provide the model# to you later today as i do not have that info now. of course anyone who wants this service done i can provide at a reasonable cost.

Hi Max, what spokes do I need to lace the 5304 you sold me into a 26" wheel?

The eyelets in my wheel are offset.

Thanks.

u need 12g spokes,,,as for the length i will have those figures 4 u as soon as crystalyte gets back to me.u will have to drill out the eyelets on your rim in order for the 12g spoke nipples to fit,,,i do not know how well the eyelets will respond to the drilling,,,thats why you may need to buy a rim without the eyelets,,,,the holes drill easily making it an easy modification.

whoops,almost forgot, here are the spoke lengths only for the 5X series 5303 to 5306 mounted on these rims:

700c = 194mm

26" = 165mm

24" = 138mm

20" = 77mm

a word of caution: the alexrim model # DM 18 size 700c takes a standard 191mm spoke so the 194mm that clyte says it takes would probably be too long,,,,depending on the rim the spoke size may differ slightly,,,also be aware that you must drill out the holes on the rim to accommodate the 12 g spokes the new 5X series requires.

Howdy Maxwell,
Big build ... One motor @ rear of velemobile (a rear motor)and TWO(fronts) with disk brakes .....on an overloaded trailer.
I will poss. use 48v/40ah LiPo.

QUESTION : Can I use one(which)controler for both trailer motors?

QUESTION: Is reverse avail. for trailer only?

QUESTION: Could I mechanicaly/electricly (trailer can/will be disconnected periodicly) link all three , then sepperate and use individually(the
trailer @ low speed) ?

Thanks,
Mark.

Maxwell...
If I may clarify above post . .
The (rear) motor on the velo should/may be a high torque w. disk brake. Will have its own batt. w thumb throttle(left side)and controler.
The two(front)motors on the trailer should be high torque w. disk. One right side short twist throttle and hopfully will run from one controller.
I hope to use LiFePo 48/40 (1-velo and poss.only 1in trailer).Two separate systems.
My concerns are : (and I may query methods) can I run two x-lite 53xx motors from one controler or will I need two? (I have followed posts
regarding syncronous motors on paralell paths, poss.an issue). Which 5 series motor is the climber. Can Reverse the trailer only . And LMH SW.
I am sure there are other questions I should ask and this may be the wrong forum.

Thanks,

Mark.

hi ,,sorry for the late reply as i have not checked here in quite awhile,,,,,im pretty sure that there exists dual controllers for the X5 series,,,,as for the model u would probably want the most torque so that is a 5306,,,,,5303 fastest less torque,,,,on 48v20ah for 5303 i go up to 53 kmph on the straights on 700c wheels,,,,,i have had ppl ride my bike who weigh 230lbs with no problems,,,so there is a lot of power and torque even though it is the least torque of the 4 models offered,,,,so 5306 has the most torque.

I do not know about 96volts but heres what I have learned about the x5306 pulling a 450lb. trike(me included),48volts is 20mph,6ovolts is 25mph and 72volts is 30mph on flat ground, so 96volts may be about 40+ mph. and it never get warm. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Hi Maxwell

I've got a couple of questions,

1.can the 5306's be fully spoked into a 26" or 20" rim? what is the cost?

2. How much is the total + shipping for a rear 5306, spoked / 7 speed rear casette / 72v 18 FET controller to the UK?

3. How soon do you ship after receiving funds, and could you PM me your paypal address please

many thanks

Nad
