EVnetics Soliton1 1000A controller NOW also 500A

Postby Lock » Sun Sep 20, 2009 7:17 am

For the bigger toys... a new controller from EVnetics:
1000 Amps: The Soliton1 can deliver 1000A continuously if liquid cooling is used, or for 15-20 seconds out of every 90-120 on air cooling alone. This limit can be unlocked for racing to deliver up to 1400A (for short periods only!) upon EVnetics approval of your application (a special racing warranty must be agreed to in writing).
300 Volts: The Soliton1 can operate on 10V minimum to 342V maximum

Per the company:
"The Soliton1 was meant to fill the serious void left in the controller market when the Zilla went out of production last year."

Wow, why so much style?

What kind of connector could you possibly bolt to that that would... "go with it"?

It'd be like putting together an outfit around a new pair of Reeboks, trying to build something around that thing...

Netgain or "warp" also are now making controllers for their motors: evpropulsion.com
Bunch of different models that are pretty cheap for what you get.

But the netgain/zilla/soliton do 360v, will Kelly be offering higher voltages in the future?
Mazda MX-5. 300KW power. Soliton 1 controller, 11" Kostov motor, 20KW/H Turnigy Lipo for 60-100 miles range. 120mph top speed.
Hudson Kindred Spirit 3 wheeler. Twin Agni setup, 300KG 80KW. 100mph top speed (maybe more, but no-one has the guts to try!)
Aprilia RS125, Agni motor, 600A 96v Kelly controller, 6kw/h Turnigy pack.

Looks like I wont have to be riding on the hood of this car any more !

We have, what I believe, is one of the first SOLITON JUNIORS
Controller
s, By Evnetics. and it is destined to go IN the GREEN BEAN.
It has all the same features as their 1000Amp Soliton1, but is a full
500 AMPS. 300 V and in a smaller box.

This controller, being water tight, does not have to go in a box and
it looks so good on its own Audrey wants to show it off, so We will
be mounting it on some plexiglass and adding some LED lights under
neath to add some "bling" to her set up.
