I'm running a bmc 600 h.s. will it plug right in with my hall sensers plug, and have andersons on the phase wires. If not please send a diagram. I must be careful for now as this ping is running on a 40amp crstalyte con. I think this was made for a 5303 ? If the 6 pin on that controller is giving out mixed voltage 48.9v 50.5v and batt. at 53.2v how deep can it be. I need to wate for new Lyen controller before operation on old con.. Back to 32mph. It's hard to slow down. THANKS.

Hi 999zip999,

I have just sent you the controller via USPS Priority Mail. You should be able to received it by tomorrow or Monday. :)

I also have sent you the pinout information on the connectors you need via PM.

Please let me know you need help or have any questions. I will be more than happy to answer. :)

Great controller, great motor, but um, word of advice, don't set the power to the highest setting then go off roading. Edward(Lyen) is currently re-wiring the phase and power lines on my 9c, I melted the Anderson connectors and blew up a couple HALs in the process! But lucky for me Edward lives right down the street. :D
Broken bike and electric bits everywhere. Some times it's a bike and I ride it.

My 12x4110 (EC-124110LD) LYEN EDITION Arrived!

Regarding Programming. I fired up Keywin E-bike Lab and sorta understand what I'm doing  .... Can some one point me to the thread where I can get an asv file or screen shots of people tweaking running the 12x4110 controller with a 9C motor? Still on the test bench but the 9C is running noisier/rougher then with the stock E-bikekit 48V 500W controller. Must be some setting or bad wiring on my part I need to track down.

EDIT/UPDATE: Got it.. To work on my E-bikekit 9C rear hub I needed too swap Blue/Green (Y/B/G) on the 12 x 4110 Controllers Hall Connector as well as on the Y/B/G Phase lines and its quiet.. Just spins MUCH faster

I ordered the 12 x 4110 MOSFET Extreme Modder Controller LYEN Edition $129:

its for a 1000 watt/48 volt ebike kit I got from hong kong...I was told the hub motor is a Bafang...heres the link to the kit :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT

and heres the stock controller that came with the kit..but blew up :

http://www.conhismotor.com/ProductShow.asp?id=111

LYENS controller instructions does not show the proper wiring of phase/ motor wires to get my kit to work properly...

does anyone know the proper wiring of blue/green / yellow wires to get it to work for my kit ?

I have tryed all the combinations I can think of , and all I get is the hub motor running forward but with a loud growling noise...or the motor runs backwards but it doesnt make the growling noise.

When in the combination with the motor running backwards, swap any pair of phase wires it should then run forward, if the growling starts you need to swap some hall wires, iIRC there's something like 32 or 36 combination's?

Sounds like your close anywayz you have movement LoL..

when it was running in reverse, smoothly...I tryed to change the motor wires ..and all that did was make the motor run forward but with the growling noises again..

Where exactly is this written by Lyen? Never seen it myself. I realise your likely frustrated but theres no
reason to start that business, Edward Lyen is a long time seller

Postby DAND214 » Fri Jan 28, 2011 9:02 pm

I have spoken to him today...and he basically told me that I need to try out all possible combinations to get it to work properly...

I never heard of selling a product, and not being able to tell your customers how to hook it up properly so it works. I spent $129 on a controller from someone in the U.S, fully expecting to get proper instructions on how to wire up the controller.

I would not sell someone a car and tell them, you need to try 36 different wiring combinations , to get it to work proeprly...r

It is almost impossible to be sure that any combination will work since the motors do vary for time to time and if you don't do the wire swap you will never know.

One motor was yellow to blue and green to green on the phase and the halls, another was yellow to green and blue to blue.

Take your time. Turn the bike upside down and it will be easier.

Lyen, I'm thinking of putting a pre-charge resistor switch on my setup to prevent the arcing that happens when connecting my lipos to the controller.
Would connecting the red controller wire that turns the controller on (not sure what it's called) to the battery before the main positive wire pre-charge the caps in the controller?

I don't believe it does (although I've never tried it). I have my resistor on the positive battery wire. Plug in resistor, wait 5 seconds, plug in main wire, no spark, works good.

Hi Lyen, I was told the 124110ld controller might be a little hard at the starts for my BMC 600hs is this true ? Or is this a good fit ? Also I didn't get the pins for the white connecters or the phase wires. Could you send them or my I buy them ? And what is the best motor for this controller if not the BMC ? Still sitting on my desk. Thanks.

Controller arrived safely on Monday, brackets were a little bent, though.
It is a lot smaller than expected.
What are the max values someone has put it through, anyway?

Thanks, Edward.
I think, I'll hook it up to the PC this weekend.

I've done 3kw peak, 2kw sustained on the 12 fet.@ 72v
It's a limitation of my battery, the controller is set to 300 amps phase, 100 amps battery.

I've done 3500 peak and 2300 continuous. Never really thought much about it. I assumed I'm a "middle-of-the road" guy when it comes to ebikes. My controller doesn't get beyond lukewarm. It is in the open air though. And not many stee[ hills around here.

My non-Lyen 12 fet that I built sees 170 phase 100 battery at 54v. It gets a little warm in open air, but too bad at all.

Peaks of 7500W, spikes of 4000-5000W and some steady 2000-2500W for 30 sec. Heavily modded, air cooled and fan cooled internally, gets pretty warm. I dont burn my fingers touching it, but its pretty warm on the outside in the summer time. Prolly 45c, 50c ? I should probe it next time to see for sure.

They'll take short trips to 100 amps battery current but 300 phase amps is really pushing your luck with a 12 fet.

I have a modded one running 80a peak that sees 5kw daily and spends most of the time around 20a so around 2000w like tmaster. It's also drawing around 30 amps alot with 30-60 second runs at ~40. Even an air cooled 9C gets very hot with this treatment
