About Arik Yehuda – Trekker Developer
Trekker is developed, designed and manufactured by Arik Yehuda (42), an Industrial Engineer by profession.
Excluding the time he spent studying for his Engineering Degree in the United States, Arik spent most of his life in Tel-Aviv. From a young age he became involved in several branches of extreme sports, including surfing, skateboarding and off-road vehicles.

Life and transportation in big cities combined with his great love of mobility and achieving a sense of flight, led Arik to create innovations and different tools for personal mobility.

At first, Arik began installing different engines onto scooters available in the market for his own personal use. In addition, he began searching the world for alternative tools of personal transportation.

Over the last decade, personal transportation has developed worldwide, and even so, it is still difficult to find durable and efficient vehicles for personal mobility on a daily basis for adult riders. Arik, after giving up his search, decided to build his own personal electric transportation device.

I don't know.
Maybe they have a 2nd manufacturing facility in Holland for the European community for tax purposes.
Maybe because many people around the world do not buy Israeli made products because they are misinformed or Arabs/Muslims or both ...
But I can assure you that it was originally designed and manufactured in Israel.
I own a Trekker for over 6 years, and I know the guy who designed it.

so did they sell many of them?
do you see many standup scooters in israel?

I haven't seen them in the downtown area here.. (except one e-goped)

I am afraid if these get popular, they might get banned...
but so far cops haven't bothered me...

one ranger at a local park just told me to keep it at 5mph on the walking paths..

Yes, many Trekkers are sold in Israel.
E-scooters are very popular here in Israel, especially in Tel-Aviv but also in other "flat" cities.
Trekker used to be the most popular, but now I see more "Koopers" than "Trekkers" even though the Kooper is twice as expensive.
You can also see a few Chinese scooters (Xtreme etc.) and Go-peds (the I-Ped model) but the majority are Trekkers and Koopers.
I myself own a Trekker, and I would like to upgrade to a Kooper, but I spent so much time upgrading it that I am attached emotionally to it.
It is worth a lot more than what I will get for it if I sell it, so I'll wait until it dies.
