Ok, how well does it work?

I've been trying for months now to find something large enough to fit outside the older 9C 2807's diameter far enough to still allow calipers to clamp around it, but hadn't found anything yet. Been trying various motorcycle shops and people who have them, etc., with no luck yet (usually getting laughed at, called a moron, or just plain ignored).

I thought about cutting a circle out of a stainless steel tabletop I have, but it's too valuable to me as a tabletop, unless I simply can't find anything else.

I looked at all sorts of other things I could repurpose, but had somehow not thought of saw blades.

I'm pretty sure I can find one of those used, in sufficient diameter, so if it actually works well with bicycle disc calipers, I'd be happy enough with that. Can't be too hard to cut the right inner circle diameter out of, and drill the bolt holes.

Looks like you will have "some" braking power with this disc and your tire choice

Now to make the caliper mount

Flip that stem and get rid of the riser bars to get lower. A race bike shouldn't have you sitting upright at all. You wouldn't have as much of a problem with flipping over with lots of torque, and you would be more aero.

After seeing the bike in person, about all I can say is that it impressed the heck out of me. Lots of small details well done. Definitely not crude.

The rider wasn't too shabby either...

I took this bike for a short spin araound the pits.
The rear brake worked just fine! & I was quite impressed with the pull this motor/battery combo displayed even at the end of the battery cycle....nothing like a twin Rc powerd super bike, but definatly falls into the Performance catagory (with a capital "P") this bike was the one to beat before LFP arived with the murderers row of e-bikes (paulD & his own Golden motored tire burner)

It was fun watching Jay64 scrubbing the tires around the race track for a couple short laps before sutting off due to low voltage & not wanting to destroy Farfles already abused batteries.

I can only imagine how it accelerated with the Lightweight Jockey (ringer ) team farfle brought down to demonstraight the build. Good Job all the way around & the details were all covered. Truley a great build.

Farfle offered the bike up and I got on not expecting much having missed the races, tested the throttle and WRF did it just pop a power wheelie??!! Gunned it and the grin came over me. I handed it to Thud and said you have got to try this bike out! I have to be honest, I never thought a hubmotor would impress like this bike, and on half dead batteries nonetheless. Saw disc worked a treat too, I would have never known it wasn't standard equipment if he hadn't told me.

We want vids man! I want to watch on BIG screen! Lol. See you guys at the Death Race in April!

I hadn't noticed the 'pegs' you have added, unitli seenz them in the pics with Aiden riding the bike, first i thought they were
your version of crash protectors as per used on faired motorcycles
to help decrease damgae in the event of the eniventable fall...THEN i notice them in the pic
of it on the motorcyle-ishkay stand, very clever Farfle! very clever indeed!...i think they
would also double as crash protectors to, though

Congratulations on such a well thought out race entry. Love the way the steel wishbone came out.

Coming in second just proves what I learned in the DR last spring. The rider is the key element, once you have a reasonably fast bike put together. Your gal must be awesome! Clearly Paul is.

Definatly hooked on racing... next year may include a monster 110kv 200mm outrunner, a whole lotta 4110s and some optical sensors... my wallet is gonna hate me...

May I ask two questions?
1) What was the wall thickness and section size of the steel you used in your new wishbone?
2) Were your clamp type dropouts 3/8" thickness material or 1/2"?

The wall thickness of the tubing was about 3/64" it mics out to be .05" which is close enough to .047"
The dropouts were 3/8" which fit well into the end of the tubing.

Grr... was commuting from work at about 5:00pm and got hit by a car. Going about 35 mph, she pulled out in front of me and i hit her front fender and me+bike rolled over the hood. Left rotator cuff is messed up, left ankle is messed up and my knee hurts where it connected with the headset. The bike is pretty dinged up, but the crash pegs did their job and the bike did not catch on fire. The pegs however did tear up the swingarm and the back wheel is locked up and I am not sure why. Suprisingly the front fork is undamaged and the front wheel is still true, no broken spokes or anything . Going to be fabbing up a new swingarm or two, so if anybody has a genesis mtb and is interested in one, shoot me a pm and ill see if it would be worth building more.

Wow! Sheared off the crash peg 3/8" bolt?

Would you consider making swing arms for other bikes? Kona Stinkys are similar and I have seen a bunch used on the forum.

Crap! I hope you heal well and soon. Take some picture of your bruised body once a week, if this is an insurance claim.
Is there something that can be done to reduce these crashes? Seems to be a few in the last few weeks. Blinking headlights?

Yup good to see your still around. Just think to your self you are invisable and no body can see you, and at the same time make your bike as visable as possible..... Paint it pink? I got a satin pink spray can left over if you like.
