Kelly is more than only a bit more expensive if we talking higher than 48V voltage, regen and >50A continuous battery current.
I'd say the KEB72331 is roughly comparable to the 12FET 4110 Lyen, KEB72451 to 15FET and KEB72601 to 18FET Lyen.

Can anyone tell me about the " hacked parameter editor" and " XPD" ?

XPD is a nice opensource software for programming the Infineon/Lyen kind of controllers. See http://xpd.berlios.de/

Doc, can you tell us which kelly you have, and with which motor?

I was thinking: My current 10" hub motor is 2Kw at 48 volts.
When i upgrade to 60 volts, power will go up as well. Will i fry the thing, or will it act as a 3kw motor?

i'm leaning towards the KEB72601 at $349,-- or the KBL72201 at $399,-- both providing 100 amps continuous.
A step lighter would be KEB72451 at $289,-- or the KBL72151 at $339,-- both providing 75 amps continuous.

easy to use.. strong case, can take up to 135VDC and take more current than the 18 fets controller.

ok, so thats more specific your exact model controller, rather then the kelly as a brand itself being preferred, by for example, features or specific details...?

Beware, those are phase current and not the battery current.

Thats odd, then they're really underrated indeed!
So i have to tka 70% of that also, to finally have the continuous current...?

How about curtis? Do they make decent controllers?

Lyen doesn't sound to bad afterall...
