So how did the fire reach the motor? (I don't have one, btw.)

It would be important to know your location.
ES facebook group: http://facebook.com/#!/home.php?sk=group_125035107565566&ap=1

The all-arounder: 8T MAC motor on a Trek 4500.
The girlfriend bike: 350W front MAC on a 700c Trek.
The wheelie machine: 20" Rear Magic Pie II on a Trek 4300 MTB
The Bus: ??? on a 'da bomb' cargo bike frame

Pro-tips for noobs: Avoid BMS Battery like the plague | Charge RC Lipos to 4.15v, stop discharging at 3.5-3.6v | Use torque plates/arms! | Rear mounted hubs are always best

thanks for replies I am in Atl Ga and the motor wires and controller were all in the same saddle bag with the battery that blew I thought maybe it took out hall sensors or something like that, yesterday I searted pulling the motor apart to see what went wrong in there and when I put it all back together and solderd up all the wires to my extra controller it started working again so I am not real sure what went wrong but it works now so all is good I am just waiting on my controller and ca to come back from Lyen he repaired my ca and replaced the controller,I could still use another motor for my new build a specialized stumpjumper so I left this post going.
Thanks
