all in one programmable display/controller

Postby Neovin » Fri Feb 24, 2012 8:34 pm

Hi all, I'm working on my second revision prototype of my RC based controller, I built the first a couple of years ago but it got put to one side for a long time.

What i wanted from the design was a completely expandable display and map-able controller able to be used with any system.

So here it is as of now i just need a better bike to use it on, my test bed is a stand up scooter.

Here's the previous version on the scooter these are old photos

I have condensed the lot you see in the photos, the large box on the back which contained an arduino mega, esc and regulator and separate screen.

My goals for this unit was:
-To output analog or Pwm for sending to the motor controller
-To read temperatures of the Motor, Esc, Battery and outside air
-To read Current drain from battery and eventually every phase of the motor
-To read speed (I'm using an optical slot sensor made with ir LEDs
-To read motor Rpm
-To read voltages
-And "finally lol" to use the data to regulate the Current, Range and motor speed

Ooo just had a thought, Bluetooth to my phone for security (Not connected wont start or pin) and maybe an accelerometer and siren/buzzer, and regulated speed control
