XtraCycle is on the road

Postby Jethro56 » Tue Mar 06, 2012 2:08 pm

Today took Build 1.5 out on the road for the first time. The longtail eliminated the light front end issues I had. 20 mph cross winds were easily handled. Something that was frankly scary before. Not a speed demon running a 2807 clone @12s but this will carry a heavy load.

Welcome to the wonder of longtails.

It's hard to not love the ride of Xtracycles.
It's the handiest and most useful bicycle accessory I've ever purchased.
Adding a motor makes Xtracycles even better.

Your battery placement looks pretty good for weight distribution.
You'll have fun adding and moving stuff around for version 1.6.

Their Kickback center stand is worth its big bucks in terms of convenience when loading the bike.
Because of my wet climate, I took advantage of the space under the deck for protecting the controller from the weather and some stealth for security.
