thus im interested in the torque rear motors, probably a 200rpm version. The HT hits about 65km/h on 24s, but since I almost never bother going above 50 or so, the lower kv mac seems like a good option (would it get me to 55k on 24s?)
Im running 24s on the HT at the moment, will the mac be ok with this? im not sure if there is a limit with the gears etc to a cirtain rpm? (ill be limiting the amps to ~30, and normal use will be <20.)
I've pm'ed and emailed you CM with similar stuff and requesting a shipping quote, as I haven't heard back from previous attempts of email only.
cheers all.
24 series is way, way too much. That's 100 volts give or take, right?
Neptronix, whose thread you should find, pushed his 8 turn MAC to 75 kph on just 76 volts and he admits that is too much.
48 volt (52.8 volt nominal) is enough to get me around 52/53 kph with pedalling on 100 per cent speed. Granted the torque 10 turn version will be slower, perhaps 20 per cent, so 60 volts will give you about 50 kph.
I don't know what a HT is but I assume it is a direct drive hub? If it is, there is simply no comparison between the speed and acceleration of a MAC and a direct drive at similar voltages. The MAC is much faster and much quicker.
cell_man was away for a couple of weeks so he probably has a mountain of messages to get through.
