Your wire job is IMPRESSIVE!
Not to mention the rest of it!
How did you get the lipo's to fit. Didn't you show they were too wide?
And how is your 88kv motor only spinning at 2100rpm? 23.8V?!?
Super,
Jay

Gracias. I ended up using the belt sander to sand down both sides on each hardcase pack. I am running 12s (48 volt). The CVT holds the motor at one speed. After testing the 88kv (4200 rpm) motor w/ the CVT I found that 2100 rpm seemed to be where the bike is the fastest.
These results align perfectly with the Goped scooter I built using an 80-100. The Goped with a 6 turn delta (8400 rpm) pulls the hardest 3500-6000 rpm. It sounds absolutely awesome at that speed. The 88kv motor w/ CVT never even gets to see that speed :-/ I think the bike will scream with a faster motor.
I do believe that the 88kv motor makes similar power. My bike is much faster than the fixed gear Goped due to CVT gearing. This means the 88kv motor is making adequate power.
There is always going to be a difference in driving a free revving motor with a powerband like BMW motors, well tuned Honda motors, sportbbike motors and so on. Just because a motor makes the same power doesn't mean you get the sound and feel that improves the driving experience. For example low revving torquey V8's get the job done, and most of the time they even sound good doing it. I just don't get the happiness of the pull all the way to hell and back rpm in a e90 M3 or e60 M5 or M6 or GT3.
The 88kv literately sounds like a 5kw drill tightening a screw. While my Goped sounds like warp drive exhaust tuned by the sound engineers at McLaren in collaboration with DreamWorks.
