Early 2000's GT iDrive dual suspension frame - SOLD

Postby neptronix » Sat Mar 24, 2012 10:40 pm

Early 2000's GT iDrive pro frame, large size. This is the more light weight XC variant.

Bought it for an electric bike project, but got nervous when i read on MTBR about heavier riders cracking the frame.
I am 230-240lbs so i have reason to be nervous.. ;)
No cracks, iDrive setup still works, very light & great for building a XC style dual suspension bike.

A few members have motorized these and had no problems. But those folks are about 50lb lighter than me, so..

$50 OBO plus shipping from Colorado, USA.

The all-arounder: 8T MAC motor on a Trek 4500.
The girlfriend bike: 350W front MAC on a 700c Trek.
The wheelie machine: 20" Rear Magic Pie II on a Trek 4300 MTB
The Bus: ??? on a 'da bomb' cargo bike frame

Pro-tips for noobs: Avoid BMS Battery like the plague | Charge RC Lipos to 4.15v, stop discharging at 3.5-3.6v | Use torque plates/arms! | Rear mounted hubs are always best
