Crystalyte Controller Tech Specs Location?

Hi,

Is there anywhere that has the real world voltage & current range for the Crystalyte digital sensorless controllers?

I'm confused because I see different values in a lot of places.

I have the 36 - 48V 40A controller. On the back it says low voltage 29V, I asked Crystalyte Europe for max voltage and they said 55V.

...and yet on ebikessf.com they list the two sensorless controllers as having the range 36 - 60V & 65 - 89V.

On Crystalyte.com they range from 24V 25A to 72V 48A

From Jimbo's thread, he says he has the 72V 45A controller (and yet on the xylte europe site it says 72V 40A?) but seemingly has run it at 84V and 50A ( i didn't think you were supposed to push the current past the rated limit???)

So confused, what are the real world ranges?

the real world limits are the same as any controler

find out what mosfets and caps are installed subtract 10% for a saftey margin and thier you go thats the controller voltage limit

differand sellers will have differant caps and mosfets installed in the same controler modle to get diferant max voltage and amperage limmits and this is not uncomen

as for the low voltage cutout it can be adjusted by swaping out a resotor on the pcb

so if you want "real world specks" aske the seller what his are set up as

so..... in conclution all the answers you ba e recived up till now are most likly right
diferant seller diferant setup diferand max values
if at first you don't succeed...dont force it just grab a bigger hammer

I wasn't aware that suppliers actually physically altered the controllers, i thought they were standard.

Right then, thanks for that. I'll just ask the supplier in future.....

Changing out the power resistors on any so-called Infineon is really easy to do. I had to when I was running 54 volts to keep the 12 power chip happy. Dnmun gave me the formula for the values and it was quite simple to actually do. Perhaps he can chime in if he remembers those numbers. I think the pictures were destroyed by one of the outages. The new values also seem to work at 36 volts also, like I run now.

Hi,
I am also little confused about Crystalyte controllers, there is no manual, only wiring schematics( yeah, sometimes this is enough) . And as I searched through this forum I discovered there is some connection between CLYTE and Infineon controllers.
From local dealer I got infomration that programming is possible only from CLYTE display.
Could somebody brighten it up a little for me?
I am about to decide between those two:

Crystalyte 36-48V/40 A
Crystalyte 72V/45 h - is it possible to make it work wit for eg. 4 SLA 12V batteries ? Just for starters before I manage to get 60V pack?

What about lo-voltage cutoff? Is there any usb/rs232 programming and interface available ? Thx.
EDIT after munching some more pages of this forum, crystalyte arent programmable by anything else than their "display"

What do you need to know about the controllers?

I have the 36-48V 40A which I got from Crystalyte Europe, they tell me max voltage is 55V.
I have the 72V 40A coming in the post to me right now from ebikessff which has a voltage range of 65 - 89V

Crystalyte Europe do a 72V 45A which has a max voltage of 99V.

I have the Crystalyte APM Display unit which allows you to 'program' the contoller. You can set LVC on this as well as current etc.

4 x 12V sla batteries gives you 48V nominal, however it will be more than this freshly charged. As long as the total voltage in not above 55V for the 36-48V controller you should be fine.
