Hi Hyena. See page 98 for my micro switch set up! The Honeywell site also has some great switches and clusters

I was referring to the one that comes standard on the new stealths

Oh sorry. It is a simple momentary switch on a small bracket mounted on the lower bolt on the left brake lever. It is quite ok , just wanted to fiddle!!!!!! Sorry havnt got a shot at the moment. I will post one soon

I think what Voicecoils wrote is probably the best idea. The seat post is not going to be the best mounting point! also i didnt realize you wanted to mount a full size Stealth LiFePO4 Battery. Your diagram did not faithfully reflect the size!!!!!!!

I would love to get a 3 or 4 mode switch eventually so I can easily flick between power modes, but that's a long way off at this stage as I have other priorities in terms of modding the bike for now.

I plan on building a LiPo limp home pack as well. Not sure whether I'll go with 15S or 18S at this stage though. Depends on what will fit in my seat-post bag.

You can get small sized hardcase pelican cases, which allot of DIY'ers mount to their handle bars. you can easily fit an extra 500wh on the front, and have it look pretty subtle too. like a smaller version of this....

Went on an epic ride this arvo, to the Kurnell cliffs. 82.6km round trip







I was only running at about 400w most of the time, but did have a bit of a full power blast round the bush whilst I was there as well. Some really nice little tracks through there, Hyena, you should check em out
For those who don't know Kurnell is about here.
I live in Hurlstone Park, about here.
Anyway, it was an epic trip and the longest I've done yet on the Fighter. Just goes to show, take it easy and you can get some decent distance on these things.


Now I know this is gonna sound wrong, but here goes anyway.
Do you need to lube or grease your Schlumpf regularly?

Mines sounding really squeaky when running in high speed gear. Kinda like a bird chirping high pitched.

I do not think the schlumpf needs any servicing, I have just taken one out and it is pretty much left as a sealed unit although it does, of course, come apart.

Might be worth speaking to John at the aus factory and see what he and schlumpf recommend.

The good thing is that as long as you have the correct puller it is an easy job to take out, not too sure I would want to strip and rebuild without a service manual though although it must be pretty simple in there.

That is some great range CD. That is a very respectable average speed too for that sort of economy.

Looks like your regen was worth 2km in total. Doesn't sound like much but try pushing the 2 km not much fun. Also I am tipping you didn't use your hyrdo's much on the ride so thats a good thing too.

Would be good to see what sort of economy others have managed to squeeze out of their bikes backed up with a similar set photos.

Thanks for the welcome. I have a Figther enroute to Nevada. Can't wait to get it. Will be hitting lake tahoe as soon as the snow melts. I went to Schlumpf website and found the service reqs. It doesn't reference miles or kilometers for the service intervals, only once to twice a year. I am thinking about using Royal Purple gear oil. Super slick stuff, last 3 times longer than other oils. Let me know what you find out about your 2 Speed crank noise.

Hi Rodney64. I am in Adelaide and am also the S.A. rep for Stealth Electric Bikes and have a Bomber for demo purposes, i know this doesn't help much! but is a little closer then Melbourne.
