Hi John and others,
Just wondering. I would like to make small jumps with my 20 pound rear Crystalyte HT3525 when my front fork (Fox F100 Terralogic) comes back from service. However, I am afraid that with the current crap Chinese lacing, I will break either the spokes or the rim. I myself weigh about 70kg, with a bike of about 10kg, a Lipo pack of 10kg, and the mentioned rear hubmotor (another 10kg). That means that after a jump, the lacing + rim of my rear wheel should be able to withstand the initial impact of 10kg hub/motor without suspension, and the remaining 90kg directly after that with the help of my rear supsension (Fox FLOAT 6.5"). Oh, and on tarmac I reach top speeds of 75km/h, so I prefer a rear wheel that manages that without issues.
My question: what rim, spokes, and tire would you recommend for a 26" outer diameter 2.5" max width configuration if you assume quality is the highest priority? Would these MoPed rims and spokes suffice? And how much would that cost? Thanks very much in advance for your answers!
