The Wald folding bike rack. Made of powder-coated steel-made in the USA. Available from Amazon for around $45. Comes in black, white or silver.
I can't recommend this enough. This really is one of the things I can't do without. A real grocery getter. For me, it represents making the bike into a daily, functional vehicle.
Its ingenious design allows it to fold up to around an inch thick when not in use. So you don't have extended baskets in the way all the time. This is my second one. The first one on my other bike I've had for over 10 years and have made countless trips to the grocery and hardware stores. I've loaded this puppy up to bursting. And its held up. Thats a weeks worth of grocerys in the third photo.
I painted the back of mine so that oncoming traffic can see it fully extended. And when its folded up, its another fluorescent layer cautioning the idiots coming up behind you.

Only by setting an example of good road manners and public courtesy can we convince the general public to take the electric bike seriously as a transportation option. Stay off the sidewalks. Stay in your lane. Obey traffic laws!
