A couple of things you may want to consider when looking for a scoot like this.
Most cheap electric scooters have junk components/build quality.
Almost all have Sla, of poor quality.
Perfect for an upgrade to your favorite chemistry of lithium.
So look for a year old example with toast/unattended batteries, and Haggle.
The Baja 500e had 48v18ah60lbs of lead, and could go maybe 25km @ 50kmh. 30kmh if your lucky up a moderate hill.
The Baja Rat has 52v 11.5ah 14lbs of a123, goes 30km @ 50+kmh. and will slow less than 10kmh, up all hills that I have.
Lead is dead.
I am not sure what the supply of these E-Bike/Scooter are like in your area.
Here in Southern Ontario, they are everywhere.
Craigslist, Kiijjii, ebay. trade mags. etc..
I was lucky enough to get mine from the company I used to work for.
A retail store(with a misleading name) that caters to farm, industry, Gonzo creator's in general
Sells alot of "Harbour Freight" type stuff. Hand tools, hydraulic hose/fittings.
(Canadian's from coast to coast will probably figure out the store)
as a customer return that had toast batteries.
And the conversion began....
