I was out on the local NCC (National Capital Commision) path to day , and noticed that their are now " No E-Scooter" signs being put up. Long over due in my opinion

I have to agree...I ride an escooter, and I like using the roadways marked as bicycle routes, but the actual bicycle paths with pedestrians, cyclists, rollerbladers, etc. are no place for a 100lb scooter...

We also have 15km/hr speed limits on most bike paths that aren't roadways...

Be nicer if there was a way to just ban jackasses. The 100 pound scooter is not the problem, the 100 pound ego of the rider is.
THE LIPO RULES. NEVER ABOVE 4.3V NEVER BELOW 2.7V DON'T PUNCTURE

Ideal charging /discharging range for Lipo, 3.65v minimum 4.1v maximum

See battery technology section, FAQ thread at the top of the page for lipo noob info.

The National Capital Commission is banning the larger electric powered bikes from its pathways.

The federal agency said the "scooter-type" e-bikes can weigh between 60 and 120 kilograms, so they pose a danger to pedestrians, cyclists and other pathway users.

The ban includes bike lanes and multi-use trails in Gatineau Park and parkways closed during Sunday bikedays or Saturday short loop programs.

The NCC said smaller power-assisted bikes, which resemble traditional bikes and don't have fairings, would still be allowed.

The new rule will also not apply to wheelchairs and three- and four-wheel electric scooters used as a personal mobility aid.
