Twist grip Manufacturing

Hello
I was wondering how twist grip worked, and because I didn't want to destroy mine I thought that one of you already did it and could explain me.
I've also read that they were two technologies involved: "Resistive potentiometer" or "hall effect potentiometers". My question is more on how they put those potentiometers in the twist.
My last question is only to know who are the different manufacturers of those products. I'll beging with mine:

No idea about how a resistive type is build, but I did repair a hall effect type the other day

The hall sensor is fixed in place and there are two magnets on the moving part of the throttle unit.

With throttle in closed position, one magnet is very near the throttle,
As you rotate the throttle, one magnet moves away from the hall sensor, and other get closer, and the signal ( voltage out from hall sensor ) increases.

Once the throttle is all the way open, the magnet at the opposite end of travel is almost touching the hall sensor.

I imagine a pot type throttle just has a gear on the pot and a rack on the throttle grip

Magura makes a 0-5K twist throttle cost about 50.00-60.00 US. You can also use a motorcycle throttle with the cable going to a potentiometer.
