How much do they cost? i'm under the impression there about 4 inches by 1 1/2 inches ? that cant cost much?

I'm wanting one sent to me lol, will pay for it i'm not after a freebie...

That said, I was wondering the same thing. I can't imagine them being gone, but I haven't seen them in a while.

Twinkies are still being made in Canada.
Hostess is in Chap.11 proceedings in the US

No shortage of bimbo brand mexican twinkies here. Not that hostess products are gone from the shelves anyway.

Not sure, something like 3 bucks a box. One good thing, they could be sent by ship, via Australia and arrive fresh.

By boat? Heck, there's enough preservatives in a Twinkie that they could be shipped by the "note-in-a-bottle" method and arrive fresh! At the end of the world, there will only be two things left: cockroaches and Twinkies, and the Twinkies will eventually outsurvive the cockroaches (unless some enterprising [name-your-state] State Fair worker decides to fry them first).

I'm pretty sure you could send them *without* the bottle, and stick the note IN the twinkie so that it preserves the note, and it would still arrive in a condition as edible as it was when manufactured. :P

How did I miss the grey market in Twinkies! :x I missed stocking up on Freon, I missed filling a shoe box with GE Black Plate 12AX7's, I missed buying silver when it was $5/oz, now I missed stocking Twinkies when I could! :P But.... the wife did fill the shelves under the steps in the basement with genuine GE 100 W incandescent bulbs and F96T12 fluorescent tubes! .. . hey buddy, wanna buy a lumen?

no just a pack of twinkys, its probably illegal to own them over here or something, i know no uk store sells them its mail order or nothing, and the 'official' mail order companies are like 4* + store price.#

I can probably buy a123 cells easier....

If no one is up for some twinky posting i'll drop this thread and try elsewhere etc, just thought it would be easier on this forum than the other stateside ones i use as things get sold/shipped between members on here all the time, although not usually snack items!

Oh no I will miss them if they go. I try to eat a Twinkie once a year or so just so I can be sure I am not still addicted. Guess I will have to bury a couple cases in the back yard for Armageddon. Amazing and sad to see so many companies that have been around for many years going under.
Just pretend that everything is OK maybe no one will notice.

This thread can't stop! No..........................

I'll ask the wifey to see if our local grocer has them and if they do, you are going to get a care package! It is the least I can do for a chap from one of the few countries that still gets along with us.

Talked to the wifey, she agreed to look, but thinks Hostess are gone because of the chapter 11 bankruptcy. I told her no substitutes! Only genuine Hostess Twinkies and Ho-Ho's. We will use Little Debbie snack cakes for padding.

What an idiot I have been! This is how successful businesses start! Ditch the electronics. Supply the demand of the masses. Twinkies, I say. Golden, squishy, radiation proof Twinkies!

There are plenty where I live. I prefer the deadlier version, the Chocodile. It's twinky dipped in plasticy chocolate, the same kind of chocolate that's on the ding dong.

there i was hoping to set up an international black market in self indulgent beverages but no you keep them all to yourseves!

I still use mp3car now and again i'm sure someone on their may help set up a group buy....

I blame walmart, they buy out our all 'asda' stores and then dont bring anything new to the product range.....

i shall have a brew and console myself with a few genuine jafa cakes

OMG real twinkys!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what would shipping be, it can be too far fetched (!) as I'm sure us->uk is a much fairer price than uk->us which is 'a bit pricey'

if you can find out, then I will be willing to recompense, and have a twinky party with friends and photos's of happy faces with twinkys!

Ok, here is the scoop. I think!

A flat rate large video box to the UK is $16.92 US and is 9x6x2 inches give or take. The box of Twinkies is 9x5.25x3. I will bet I can "squish" most of a single box into the Large Flat Rate Box for you if I take them out of the Hostess box. I can cut off the top and fit it into the flat rate box for a momento suitable for framing. To ship the two boxes of Twinkies will take two Large Flat Rate boxes at around $34 US or $17 a box of GENUINE Hostess Twinkies delivered.

Now we could go to the Flat rate medium box of 11x8x5.5 ~ 440cu inches for $48 bucks. Considering that the Twinkies are about 135 cu in per box, I could likely get the wifey to get another box and we could ship you 3 boxes of GENUINE Hostess Twinkies for $48 or $16 box.

Let me know what fits you desire and I will go to the next step of trying to find these magical flat rate international boxes... I don't think my rural, one cow per resident post office has them... but I do go to the "big city" weekly and will go looking.

These things have to leave my kitchen, they are calling for me to open them... how to resist...

PS: When these things get to you we need some pix posted or a video or something!
