"Intelligent" Batteries and RC ANIMALS

Put on your tin foil hats :D
No wonder the Russians bought Enerdel

------------------
"In 2006, according to filings, Ener1 also was awarded a $1 million Department of Defense contract for asset tracking, a technology used to track people carrying battery-powered devices.

The tracking systems in military battery packs are designed to protect personnel. For instance, if a soldier stops moving, falls down or is running out of battery power, technology inside his or her radio automatically alerts a command center. The Navy said prototype batteries were produced but not used and do not pose a threat to U.S. military personnel or civilians.

But some believe the technology could pose a threat to national security, as it can be used to track troop movements or anyone who has devices that contain those batteries.

"I live in that world," said Daniel Engels, a chief technology officer for Revere Security, a technology security firm. "We need to stop thinking about batteries as just a battery. As soon as they become intelligent, they become a potential entry point into your system."

Through such batteries, he said, an enemy could even remotely turn off lines of communication"

Damn and I really wanted to see batteries with built-in battery monitoring and id either hooked up through zigbee or power line communication :(

Darn military ruins everything! Kinda like the smart idea of RC animals. The Chinese gave implants to pigeons so they could control them. Imagine that RC birds and cats! Seems like a great idea until now you have to assume all wildlife is a possible enemy. Can't wait for WW4

Behind closed doors in Realpolitik and intelligence circles
Cold War=WW3
Whether it ever ended is up for debate but the general consensus is it ended after the Fall of the Berlin Wall

"Former CIA Director James Woolsey said Wednesday the United States is engaged in World War IV, and that it could continue for years.

In the address to a group of college students, Woolsey described the Cold War as the third world war and said “This fourth world war, I think, will last considerably longer than either World Wars I or II did for us. Hopefully not the full four-plus decades of the Cold War.”

"""

When you start thinking in the same terms as those who run the Spaceship Earth it changes how you see world events

Well, if not WW 4 right now, at least the USA vs a good chunk of the world is on right now. Not sure if it qualifies as a world war, though. More like the USA reaping what we sowed all by ourselves for years.

Only problem, we keep getting confused who the enemy really is, or which country is behind it.

The cold war, WW 3, is still just barely going in Korea. Even in Cuba, it's pretty over. Can't blame Korea much for wanting to be isolated. They have a worse history of being tramped over than Poland.
THE LIPO RULES. NEVER ABOVE 4.3V NEVER BELOW 2.7V DON'T PUNCTURE

Ideal charging /discharging range for Lipo, 3.65v minimum 4.1v maximum

See battery technology section, FAQ thread at the top of the page for lipo noob info.
