How to retro-fit halls in a HS3525?

Hi!

I put all eggs in one basket and went for sensorless HS3525 motors and controllers for three bikes I'm building. I finally got one of the bikes running but it only works satisfying at modarate amp's. It seems that pulling more than 35A is not possible without the controller loosing sync and starts to rattle and misbehave. I've been trying to figure out a workaround electronically but have given up so I'm down with the option to fit halls and upgrade/change the controllers for sensors. The controller is a LYEN 12fet.

-How are they fitted on a std motor with halls?
-Is Allegro SS411A still a preferred hall?

chek the motor thread "HT35 "about 100 pages, . doc bass does the first one, pretty straighforward,

done it ten times on these motos- watch clearance of hall wires/side cover if you do go over the windings as i have. one of my motors kept rubbing and blowing out halls. . fixed with a spacer on axle.

Honeywell ss411a are installed and working fine! The slots were on the other side of the stator opposed to what Doctor Bass guide said, they are on the same side as the phase cables. Maybe the side is random when the motor is built as sensorless?! I hade to use the grinder on the slot of the axle to be able to get the new 5 cables out. The motor has a more noisy and rougher character than running sensorless but no big deal. Otherwise is the bike running great now!
