I really don't think it's that simple.

Would you care to elaborate?

Where would you post about testing and setting up a motor controller combination?

When you ran your poll, it's true that there was a certain amount of ambiguity as to where to post controller stuff. We added Controllers to the Motor Technology header to make it clearer. We didn't think a separate forum for controllers was justified. I encouraged people to post their DIY controller projects in Motor Technology. The more mundane stuff belongs in the E-bike section.

We don't have a section for batteries, we have a section for batteries, battery chargers and battery management systems.....

I don't see how motors could be logically separated from controllers... neither can function independently of the other - the controller relies on the motor inductance for the buck-converter property.
Have a Nice Day,

I'm still not convinced at all; motor tech is totally different from controller tech and we have lots of controller DIY discussions, but hey, it's a democracy.

A couple new categories could be added Seperating hubmotor from ebike general makes sense. Noobs corner makes sense, but maybe make it just a category that only redirects to the wiki? Or just put a header on the wiki that says new readers see this first? An ask a tech question section would be ok if noobs would use it. They won't. It would just add one more place for them to triple post if they did use it.

Just don't let it become just like motorbicycling forum, with waaay too many categories to wade through.

For example, we have E-vents. No need to add a category for each kind of event.

Nor do we need a category for each brand of hubmotor, like the V. Not even seperate categories for types of hubmotor.

The problem is that it has a large archive of non-hub stuff. My compromise was to keep it as the top level and make the split at the Technical level. I can't say I'm entirely happy with that, either.

Please don't post that it's fine as it is :P

Thinking some more, I just edited a few times. Yes, I see. But a general section, a hub section and a non hub would be good. No to a frame and fork section.
