Thats a good question.
I managed to rip the wire out of mine when I was pushing it into the cell-log.

In case anyone is still interested, the easiest way to fix the alarm O/P plug socket problem is to split the case and solder a couple of wires onto the pins and use a plug socket combination of your choice.
