Dewalt A123 cells BMS

Postby FastDemise » Sun Jun 03, 2012 11:31 pm

I'm looking to probe the ES collective for a answer to my question. I am making a 16s4p battery for a buddy from DocBass batteries. I'm wiring in my own connector for the power out but I'm wanting to keep the Dewalt BMS attached so buddy can continue to charge on his Dewalt charger without any problems.

My question is what is the wiring setup for the BMS. With the main Neg. being #1 and main Pos. being #9 on the balance leads. What's the yellow, 5 brown, and Orange order?? This is using the 8s Dewalt BMS.

This is what I have based from pictures I have taken and internet photos of the wire setup.

Excuse the bad drawing. I tried 2 separate Dewalt BMS and using Kfong's circuit board to try and pull power from the pack thru the BMS to ensure I got the wiring right with no luck.

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks,
Lance

Well it seems after I just soldered up some wires and hooked up the bms and plugged into the Dewalt charger everything worked just fine. So I guess my Kfong board is bad. :-( But for anyone interested that's the correct wiring for the 8s Dewalt bms. :)

Cheers ES,
