60t chainrings are reasonably available (but not cheap). I have seen a rare few commercial 61 and 62 tooth rings around, too. Bigger than that, and you have to think about having one made to order-- which is a very expensive proposition.

Here's a 65t ring for $134: http://www.hostelshoppe.com/cgi-bin/readitem.pl?Accessory=1155076891

And here's a 60t ring for $38: http://www.hostelshoppe.com/cgi-bin/readitem.pl?Accessory=1016049820

Can you be more specific about what you have in mind for such a large ring? There may be other solutions that are less expensive and more accessible.

On that site they are 130. I want to pedal with my 1200 cyclone and the crank freewheel I got uses a 104bcd not a 130 if there a way to use a 130bcd. At mow I'm using a 48t but crank turns at about 112 rpm with that

Might be the thing to do, to find a chainring, and then buy the crank with the bcd it needs. Be aware that on many MTB's a really big crank will rub the frame. Some simply will not take bigger than 48T. Get an 11t freewheel if you don't already.

You're going to be just about out of luck getting a 60+ ring in 104bcd. You'll need an adaptor plate. I've seen 130 to 104 before, but can't remember where. although you can make one fairly easily. a 6" saw blade, a hole saw, a drill, and some patience is all you need to make an adaptor plate.

Whats youre rear count when you're at 112 cadance? if its a 13 on the rear, going to a 52 front wouuld drop you to 100, and going to a 52 front with 11 rear would give you 87

The cyclone drives the crank then from crank to from a 44t to a 20t on I auto hub. Rear gearing ok just need slow crank down so I can do more that just sit there. No matter how big I got it want hit frame.

Using an adapter plate would allow offsetting the big ring a bit to the outside, which might make the difference between interfering with the frame or not.

It may be impossible to get decent chainline in any but the outmost rear sprockets, once a 60t ring is mounted outboard enough to clear the frame.

There's a download on this page that will print a template for any size ring in any BCD you like. It's fairly labor intensive though, but the good news is all you need is a drill and a file to do it. :D

Well, if you settle for 60 teeth for $40, here is where I get mine. This guy is very good, i get all my frame building stuff from him..I think he is near San francisco.

I think you might have missed that it is highly unlikely to be that simple. If you do a simple ring swap, the bigger ring is almost sure to drag on the frame. You can probably reckon this by laying a straightedge against your existing ring. You need to be clear for almost 1-1/2" outside the radius of the 48t ring. Remember that the bigger ring is not only larger in diameter, but more flexible too.

Having a custom ring made is almost always a lot more expensive than buying a stock item (and I mean a lot more expensive than the $130-something dollar ring I posted a link to). It will be much cheaper to find an existing ring in the size you want, then buy a new crank to fit the ring, and probably a longer bottom bracket to bring the ring clear of the frame.

I have a extra wide bb crank which widened pedals to miss back off motor and moves chainring out and it was set up so the inner tWo chainrings are in line to rear and outter is in line for motor.

Sounds like the clearance issue may not be a problem. Chainline is something to stay aware of.

Is the big sprocket for being driven by the motor, or for driving the bike's wheel?
