**EDIT**: Not anymore! WTB Custom composite work

Ignore this thread, my build has taken another direction

Anyone with fiberglass or carbon fiber layup skills and looking for a little work-
I need to fabricate a custom part. I want to make a cover for the belt drive of a Recumpense V4 drive. The cover is for 3 reasons, in order of importance:
1) Keep my pants and shoelaces out of the running gear
2) Make the electric drive parts just a little bit more stealthy
3) Noise abatement

Here's a pic of the part I want to cover:

I'm sure custom anything is pricey. I would do some of the grunt work by building the mold, if that makes this a better deal for you. I'm not cheap and willing to pay a fair wage for the work - but honestly I don't have any idea what a job like this would cost.

I'm sure I can find a composites guy within driving distance through Craigs List or whatever - but I figured I'd try here first and keep my money within the ES community.

Any thoughts/takers?
~Matt

1st build: Dahon Jetstream folding bike. Quick, reliable, capable of 30mph. Light enough to lift, folds for easy transport by car/bus/train.
2nd build: RC powered 2009 Norco A-Line. Top speed 31mph. Built like a tank, it's resistant to Boston potholes, can stop on a dime, easily goes up/down curbs when necessary.
3rd build (just started): Scratch build ultimate utility bike.

I used to build boats.
What you need to do is very easy.
Cover the part with plastic food wrap.
Use some clay to make the shape over the plastic wrap.
Let clay dry,
More plastic wrap or paint on the clay. wax the paint if used.
Use the fiberglass mat (the random flake stuff from the auto parts store, like $8)
Use the fiberglass resin or epoxy.
Rip the fiberglass mat into little chunks with jagged edges and use a paint brush to mush it all together.
Get wasted off the fiberglass fumes
Dry for a day and remove fiberglass from clay
Smash the clay off
grind edges with grinder and sand the rest of it.
Paint.
Easy right

Thanks for the reply!
I actually took a different tack, and am going to use flat carbon fiber panels CNC cut to shape (including mounting bolts). I need to kill this thread.
