Some friends and I on Zero MX's riding hard technical stuff.

Postby liveforphysics » Mon Jul 16, 2012 9:54 pm

This isn't a fancy video with pro's and a film crew shooting, it's the view from my average-Joe novice rider's helmet cam vantage point. If you don't like shaky video with scratchy sound filmed from a dusty go-pro lens, just skip it. :-) The other two guys are much better riders than I am, but I sure had an amazing day of riding some really technical stuff, and loved it. :-) I was amazed at what the Zero's could climb, and amazed at what passes for a "trail." Much of this stuff felt like mountaineering with a motorcycle, and no ropes. My legs and arms and back are very sore today, but my spirit is brighter than ever. :-)

Enjoy!

The 12 through 15 minute stuff was unbelievable that you made it through at all! First no room for foot pegs, then your bars hit the walls... Glad you wore your gloves!

Awesome! This is where electric dualsporting really shines. No clutching and revving.

I remember getting stuck with my DR650 in similar terrain, and me left hand literally didn't have enough strength to hold the clutch in after a while. Nice low speed modulation of the electric motor would be awesome!

Love the vid Luke, and the bike looks like it can handle everything that can be thrown at it...

It did look very loose and hard work that climb 12-15.

Have a quick look through this vid may give you some tips how to ride the loose stuff  ...

For the initiated it's a given. But for those not accustomed to the silence of the ride, you forget that these guys aren't screaming at the top of their lungs just to get a point across. I think that's where the heart of the matter of this revolution grabs our attention. :)

Yea I enjoyed that video. Looks like a winch would have been handy in a couple of those sections.
