Isn't the response from the GS (with a dedicated controller input) supposed to be much quicker than a tap of the brake lever? I thought that the whole reason why the GS was invented was because it takes too long for the brakes to cut and then reapply power (plus the convenience factor).

These symptoms indicate that you are either not using a speed sensor, or the sped sensor is not working correctly.

Grab your magnet disk, and try to turn it on the spindle to see if it's tight. It may be that the disk is rubbing on the bottom bracket, and is not spinning as you pedal.

Interesting response...That's the exact problem that I experienced, and documented above. So I'm pretty convinced that you'll be able to set up the Beam TS to work well for you.

My solution for access to work on the front wheel was to use longer wire routing, held in place with Velcro wraps. It's quick and easy to release enough wire to allow the the wheel to be set down on the ground, next to the bike: At the controller end, I shortened all of the wires to avoid...
