    Dual freewheel crankset

I have read most the threads here documenting various attempts to achieve this: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=35846&start=25 https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=37224 so I am well aware of the difficulties... Main problem (as far as I see it) is...

Destroyed! A warning to those using freewheel cranks....

Thanks Avner, I know that you need two freewheels to do what I want, I just thought that Terry managed to do it in his design (my confusion - all is clear now).

Destroyed! A warning to those using freewheel cranks....

OK, I am being thick here, please bear with me... If you use threaded crank to fix freewheel, than how do you get dual freewheel action, where you can use motor alone, or pedal with motor, or pedal only without dragging motor?

Destroyed! A warning to those using freewheel cranks....

Understand adapters etc, thanks! Understand that (like a majority here, who seem to bent on ever more powerful motors  ) you are not bothered about having more than one chainwheel. There is still one thing I am not clear about - how do you attach this whole thing to the bottom bracket...

Destroyed! A warning to those using freewheel cranks....

Thanks Terry! I did quick search on Token freewheels and the interweb noise wasn't very positive. so I am not surprised by your advice. What about my question 3) please. How did you connect the freewheel to the bottom bracket? Did you use an adapter? It is not quite clear from the one and only...

I thought it was going to be something like that :D but not being familiar with all the brands... thanks - that's one question answered!

Destroyed! A warning to those using freewheel cranks....

Hi Terry, I am hoping to install front double freewheel with two chainrings on my bike and I like very much what you are doing! Have few questions please: 1) 148mm ISIS BB - I take it this is the one?: http://www.sickbikeparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=190 2) Tolken dual...

    LWB recumbent mid-drive (RC brushless?)

I have put it all together, but it wasn't a success, not because e-bike side of things but because of LWB recumbent... LWB recumbents are rear heavy (typically 70/30 axle loading split). Adding all this weight to the rear, made things far worse  to the point where it was affecting the...

    My recumbent cargo bike

Yes and no :D They definitely are more stable than SWB, but few are able to ride hands free Classical LWB will be about 30/70 (front/rear), however Warren's is not the usual example because his seat is more in the middle of his bike rather than in the rear (so I am guessing it's closer to...

My new RC mid- drive ebike

I like your set-up! This is exactly what I have in mind. Please keep us updated with long term testing.

    LWB recumbent mid-drive (RC brushless?)

Yes, you are right and I know that - it is my fallback plan if I don't manage to conjure something a bit more sophisticated :) Yes, and that is exactly one of my concerns  AFAIC with the setup I have I probably need no more than about 150 watts! (for what I want to do).

    LWB recumbent mid-drive (RC brushless?)

I thought that motor efficiency drops off the cliff if you use it below it's optimum settings? Indeed, hence the question here Not sure what is "Stokemonkey type of setup" although vaguely recall seeing something like this. For me it is simple: on LH side of the intermediate bottom bracket I...

    LWB recumbent mid-drive (RC brushless?)

This thread is about mid-drive not about hub motors (I am not interested in hub motors).

    LWB recumbent mid-drive (RC brushless?)

Thank you guys, I was hoping for efficient, lightweight, brushless solution, but I suppose I can always use one of these things: Quick, easy, heavy, inefficient, and cheap :D
