My question is actually specifically related to hoverboard motors. But I'm wanting to make something 4WD/AWD with hoverboard motors. They have 3 phase wires and 3 hall wires (a, b, c type). My controllers are capable of doing "reverse", but I don't want to leave 1 side of the cart in reverse...

I broke 3 different Sturmey Archer IGHs on the rear of my cyclone kit bike. I wasn't doing anything too extreme. In my opinion at least... I thought about going with a cassette but I figured it'd be a hacky solution on a moped frame. Is single speed for mid drive the main option?

I'm thinking of adopting an older 125 or moped frame, as a base, and building on that. I have a mid drive kit that I'm taking off of a bike. Do I have any gearbox options for this? That are reasonably priced? Or any alternatives/hacks anyone has come up with?

Oh the battery and cells are still good. I'm just going to be pushing a heavier frame, and maybe going to single speed. So I'm going to try and up the volts and amps. I've probably put over 800 miles on them. But I think they're still good :D
