Hi Doc, thanks for sharing this method which i very ingenious and cheap, however it seems to require heatshrink to ensure nothing is moving in the battery pack, this makes changing one of the cells not so easy... also i'm not sure there is sufficient space around the cells to allow air cooling...

Hi silviasol, in your case maybe it was the protection circuit of the cell masking the actual remaining voltage ? Did your cells had protection circuits built-in ? Flo

Hi all, I see 18650 cells are gaining more popularity these days, but making a pack with these cells is not so easy and requires in much cases a spot welder... Do you think it would be possible to build a case for holding and connecting 18650 cells and also to allow easy replacement maintenance...

Hi dnmun, I always charge with hyperion 1420 with individual cell monitoring, so no bulk charging, other cells are around 3.9v so no problem with other cells I think... Is it difficult to replace the 0v pouch in a 5s turnigy pack ?

ok thanks very much for the advice :) so you confirm there is absolutely no way to use the not puffed 0v cell anymore ? This make me think, these turnigy have very random quality... I may switch to 18650 for next projects

Hi everybody, I left my battery pack stored for several months with no checking. I recently measured the cell balancing and found that a string of 4 paralelled Turnigy 5s 20c had one cell at 0v !! So I have 4 Turnigy packs with 1 out of 5 cells at 0v, I also noticed one of the packs is puffed...

Hi everybody, I think I'm going to need a torque arm for my rear wheel motor (aluminium fork) because tha axle has started spining after only 3 runs :? The problem is that everything I see is pretty ugly with clamps etc ... What do you think about using that kind of spacer as a torque arm...
