    N.E.S.E. the no solder module

I finally got to read this and I would like to order. Let me be clear: You only supply the metal parts and we need to get the plastic enclosures 3-d printed at a place of our choosing (like Shapeways)? You do not 3-d print yourself. otherDoc Edit: Just read where you got your printer. This...

High performance & durability Cannondale Semi Recumbent

I have always had concerns about SPD type pedals on any 2 wheeler. I have ridden my tadpole trike for about 10 years with them with no problems at all. As long as you don't have to balance, clipless pedals are simply great and prevent leg suck! Of course, trikes are safe also compared to 2...

Using the Wangdd22 1500W 30A DC Boost Converter on an ebike

Well that is 'cause Phoenix has that "dry heat"! Here in the South, the heat comes with humidity, and the only place to survive this is in a pool! That is my story and I'm sticking to it! otherDoc

Using the Wangdd22 1500W 30A DC Boost Converter on an ebike

I have to raise the amps screw to see if I get better acceleration. I really don't need a higher top speed. otherDoc

Using the Wangdd22 1500W 30A DC Boost Converter on an ebike

I had several opportunities to test out the Wang and it did make a difference, particularly in top speed. Acceleration not very different but 52 volts instead of 36 raises top speed by about 5 mph. Not bad for about 35 bucks. otherDoc

    E-bike Powered by Tool Batteries?

I ran my trike on 6 36 volt Bosch packs a while back. Then they were $40 apiece and had about 3 amps each. Soon after the price shot up to about $100 per pack and made the venture non-functional. Oh well! otherDoc

Using the Wangdd22 1500W 30A DC Boost Converter on an ebike

Well it works! At 53 volts there is a noticeable increase in power, mostly at the higher speed end. There was some increase in torque, but not a huge one at the low speed and start up end of the spectrum. Next ride (later this week) I will experiment with the LVC and Amps variable resistors. I...

Got it! The key was "clockwise". Set it to about 52 volts and will test tomorrow. otherDoc
