I bought just a frame (HT100) from Frey late in 2018. I then purchased everything else from other sources. Oh yeah, I also bought the complete G510 drive package also from Frey. It was all good. Unfortunately they quit selling just frames because a lot of people complained about this bit or that...
I actually have gotten both of the BMSs you listed from Daly in China. Cost was about $25 each and I received them in two weeks.

I want to parallel two 48 volt 17AH batteries with 30 amp BMS in each. These are same cells same size. The goal is to power a 2300 watt Bafang Ultra that will draw 45-50 amps at full throttle.

Well, I performed the surgery, reduced this 72 volt to a "70 volt" 24.5 AH battery. (lots of free-time with lockdown in effect) With the BMS re-wired 1-19 and # 20 not connected, the BMS worked. I have put about 50 miles on this new battery. 3900 watts. It goes about 10% faster in every gear...
Does anyone know if the EX Pro with two batteries can deliver 2 x 30 AMPS to the ultra? I think it can with the "combiner" device.
If it can do so, then this Frey EX dual batt model would be a GREAT Candidate to upgrade the controller thru Watt Wagons or Exess since the power system is already...
This battery was well constructed. So I decided to go ahead with my plan. I already did the removal of one parallel group. I turned it into a 19S from a 20S. Still 7P - 24.5 AH.
As for the BMS, since I know so little; I ordered a 19S 60amp with Bluetooth and phone app for battery status $47...…...

As for shape and size. Yes, cutting off that bit makes it fit. I proved this with a cardboard cutout in the "new shape"
I have a never used 72 volts 24.5AH triangle battery. I purchased it new from China about 8 months ago it is 20S7P and it is 1/2 inch too tall to fit into my Frey HT 100 frame. Currently a 16S8P is installed using a PR. This is totally my fault!

One correction I need to make to my above post:
The BMS(s) in the Frey batteries are NOT 40 amps. They are 30 amps. The FUSE has been upgraded to 40 amps.
they did this because at full throttle the bikes pull a full 30 amps and some of the fuses would fail over time. (ask me how I know this...
