Test rode this ebike for several days a couple weeks ago. Finally got around to posting a review. https://electricbike-blog.com/2017/12/12/welcome-to-the-new-age-of-affordable-electric-motorcross-testing-the-sur-ron-60v-32ah-dirt-bike/ if you have any questions PM me directly. Thanks.
I have hundreds of hours of hard riding on BBS02's with 52v batteries (16S LifePo4). One blown controller early on, after that I got smart and used smaller chainrings.
Doesn't like full throttle on hills when it is already hot and spinning too slow. If you spin it fast you can beat the piss out...
Michael I found only .8mm difference in the offset between the Lekkie and the Eclipse and I measured the offset of the two rings with calipers.
My review of the Lekkie is here

Dude, seriously things like this happen when you build your own ebike. All the time. I've had so many chains come off when I was doing builds. I bent chainring adapters and destroyed 3 plastic covers and gouged the shit out of my BBS02 cases. I stripped the heads off screws with the chain...
The BBS02 was easier to replace the nylon gears, maybe 30 minutes. http://electric-fatbike.com/2015/08/24/replacing-a-peanut-buttered-nylon-primary-reduction-gear-on-the-bbs02/
The BBSHD is a bitch to get the rotor out and on the nylon cover plate I couldn't get the Philips screws to budge. You...
I can do 39mph gps verified on a crappy $300 mountain bike with 2.2" knobby tires at 30psi with a 52T ring and a 58v battery on a slight 3 percent downgrade at 210lbs.
It wouldn't surprise me if Bruno (who is very light and small) can get close to 50 on a roadbike with a slight downgrade. My...
You can disable the PAS by removing the female connector for the grey wire on the inside of the controller. Wrap it in electrical tape to keep it from shorting out on anything in case you want to hook it up again in the future. There are instructions on my website under the "Installing a Temp...

A Hackers Guide To Programming The BBS02
Posted on June 26, 2015
One way that the BBS02 middrive unit shines over...
I'm working on writing a hackers programming guide for the BBS02 for electric-fatbike.com . I'm interested in anyone who would be willing to help contribute. Please PM me if you're interested.
Over time as we learn more about programming the controller I'll be updating the article.

I wrote up this brief summary on my website and I'd love any input on making more accurate.
Programming The BBS02 Without Frying Your Controller And Losing Your Sanity
I’ve watched this thread on Endless-Sphere and spent a few hours building several of my own cables using different USB\Serial...
The BB7 is the best cable brakes I've found. They are equivalent to a cheaper hydraulic like the Juicy 3.
As long as you keep your bike inside when you're not riding it the brakes never seem to freeze up, even in -10 degrees which is the coldest I ride in. If you wanted to use the cable brakes...
The Bullseye will not fit a 4.8 on the rear but yes a Bud would be better than chains for the front (and it WILL fit on the front). A little pricier but lighter and it grips much better.
Chains make a huge difference on the front if you don't have a deep traction tire. More than the rear...
