There was no sin-cos on the C700 spec, though qs180 had it. Either way, it uses ABI so no worries then.

Does the 3shu have support for the encoder you use? Looks like C700/CL700 have very limited support for different encoders/sensors. Cant understand why they don't have proper sensor support in their HW when VESC SW obvious has.

It was a joke! I hope your battery does not fail due to missing insulation, I just think its important to bring up since it can be catastrophic if battery groups shorts and its a common fault that is easy to prevent. Regarding "major battery manufacturers make packs this same way", maybe so but...

Sorry to say but that battery is crazy dangerous. Have you missed to add cell insulation between the groups and insulation pads at the positive terminal? You are most likely to get a short circuit due to wear on the cells plastic cover due to vibrations.

If you want regen when throttle is low you could try add a comparator with voltage divider preferably a tuning potentiometer and set preferred voltage level when regen should turn on or off, or use arduino but it feels a bit overkill if you´re not going to use other features.

Yeah I use old Derbi Senda front sprocket, as you said 420 on those.

Check with these guys as well, they had 520 sprockets a while ago. https://www.electroandcompany.com/

I would just grind it off since its just a holder for the guard. If you have access to a lathe you could just mill out the old spline from your 520 sprocket and and to the same on the 428 sprocket you got with the motor and weld them together. Not that much work and you get your 520 sprocket :)

What if you just mill/cut of the chain guard holder and put a 17 front sprocket. With 17/38 you get about 135km/h @ 6000 rpm.

I will follow this build :) Motor has 1:2.35 gearing and I run it at 6000 rpm with 14/54 sprockets on 18" dirtbike tire with a top speed of 80 km/h. If you cut the chain gard holder on the motor you could fit bigger front sprocket, otherwise 14 is about the biggest you can fit. With 14 teeth...

If you going to build something similar as this build, go for the QS138v3 motor with internal gearing. Its perfect for this kind of build and you don't have to have a large rear sprocket. These guys peak 30kw with that motor: https://youtu.be/zhzN1Eg4tSk

With qs120 no problem! But i think you should ignore the 2000w marking on qs120 because its more like a 10 kW motor. Not to compare with shitty my1020 motors etc.
