    Battery warmer

Thank you so much! Your solution is really good but I think the problem with it, as you say, is space for the insulation. I moved everything from my motorbike (except the throttle) to my garden tractor (I need something to plow snow with) and I filled the space where the engine was quite...

    Battery warmer

I have a batterypack with 9 gen1 Nissan Leaf modules. It's winter now and temperature lays around -10⁰C. After what I have read it's not adviseable to charge the battery when it is so cold so I wonder if you know of something that is keeping the battery warm, or over 0⁰C, when charging? I want...

How to protect cells from corrosion [Solved)

I used a Dremel to remove old copper and zincstrips from cells I'm going to use in a new pack and I've read that it could lead to corrosion. I wonder if there is a way to prevent corrosion but still be able to spot weld them?

    PSU vs charger

I ordered a charger from China. I neither can afford two high quality PSU's nor a high quality charger at the moment but I have battery cells for a bigger pack, infact two bigger packs so this will do for now. My dream is two MeanWell in series mounted onboard my bike but that'll have to wait...

    PSU vs charger

That was a lot of useful information. Thank You! I charge my bike at home in the barn. I don't have the space for an onboard charger so I have a portable one. It works great but it is for my 48V pack.

    PSU vs charger

Ok! A high quality PSU is better than a good charger but a good charger isn't a bad choice, then?

    PSU vs charger

I wonder if there is any benefits from using a PSU, a MeanWell or similar compared to an "ordinary" charger like this one: 20S - 72V (84V) 12amp Lithium Battery Charger ? Two MeanWell, I'm building a 20S li-ion pack, costs about 400$ together, the one I linked to costs 150£. According to this...

Low voltage in one P group

I had a Daly BMS last months because of the registration. Now, when my motorcycle is street legal I returned to my JBD BMS. It balances the cells which the Daly doesn't do. If you say that the difference isn't alarming I let it be like this for some time. Could a balancing card be a good idea...

Low voltage in one P group

I have one P group that is between 0.130 and 0.2V lower than the other groups and I wonder if it could be a bad cell or is it just unbalanced? I also wonder how I can find one bad cell in a pack built with copper/nickel sandwich method? I know which group it is

Connect Kelly KLS controller to mobile phone through USB

Today I used my "new" pc and did some changes to the controller settings. The PC software works as before when I had Windows on my old laptop. It needs two or three restarts

Connect Kelly KLS controller to mobile phone through USB

There is a choise at app startup to choose either bluetooth or serial connection but I think it is only bt that really works. The pc program isn't that stable either. Perhaps it will work better with this 50$ machine I bought today than the one I had before. I will report
