always solder the wires from the esc to the receiver otherwise vibrations will eventually disconnect your servo connections or loosen them up causing breaking instantly.

make sure to clean up the pins on the DRV chip very well... my guess is you have a solder bridge between two of the pins somewhere it shouldnt.
My recommendation is to use solder wick to pull up any excess solder on the DRV chip and if that does not fix it clean up the STM32 pins..

Peter, I do VESC repairs quite frequently and see this all to common.
Sounds like you need to resolder the DRV a bit better and clean up the legs of the pins from any bridged connections.
