BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

I have the 850C. I scrolled through the display menu but didn't figure it out. Otherwise this thing is ready for the owner. I set the light to go on automatically and turned off the sport mode option. I rode it in the dark and the light turned on and seemed to work as before.

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

O.K. Don't know what I fixed but I copied some data from KB-79's xml and the error is gone! Now all I need to figure out is the speed settings. Edit: I think I figured out the speed. The only thing I can't seem to do is get the default assist to start on 0. I flashed it and read it and it...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Thanks. I did read it but assumed since I just bought this this year, I should look up the latest data. Right now the bike is almost unsafe to ride.

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

I just installed a BBS02B for my neighbor. Biggest issue is the PAS overriding the throttle. My personal bike, which was done some years ago with a Luna kit, doesn't do this. You can PAS and add throttle if needed. The throttle is unaffected by pedaling. I usually have PAS off. On this new...

Luna "Tiny" Sinewave Controller with BBSHD

PS: I just installed my original 2013 GNG controller and the bike is up and running. So there is no issue with the bike.

Luna "Tiny" Sinewave Controller with BBSHD

I have a GNG motor I'm trying to get this controller to work on. I recently had my 35A GNG one fail. I used the same picture above to wire it up. I have a hall / phase combination that can get it around but it's not smooth. The motor will not RPM. I can put it in a tall gear and the low end...

Exploring options on electric car build

They make plastic coated copper tubing for underground use. I am assuming the price for 1/2" tubing is cheaper than 1/2" stranded wire. I seem to remember from school, many decades ago, current traveling on the surface of the conductor. I have not researched it much since. I figured I...

Exploring options on electric car build

I got the bug to build a fast electric car. I have put out the word to my local used car dealers to keep an eye out for a wrecked Tesla. I’m open to other motor options. I know the Tesla motor has the power. The chassis will likely be a Factory Five 818C. This would be a cheap, light easily...

Tesla-Powered Kit Car Runs 9-Second Quarter Mile + M3 PMAC

I have been tossing around the idea of building this very car. I have enjoyed my ebike so much I have a hankering to get an electric car. I have had a ludicrous desire for some silent thunder. I figure with the recent weather in Texas, there may be a flood of cheap Teslas on the market...

BMS limiting my charge to 54V

I'm back. I have been using the pack despite the voltage not acting right. I have been charging it to 52V through the BMS and topping it off through the output port to 54V @ 1 amp. I babysat the battery and verified that it will stop charging on its own. I have been doing this only for long...

BMS limiting my charge to 54V

The pack is 13S 5P. It started life as an eZee Flat battery. I swapped out the (3 year old) cells with new better cells. My current charger is from Luna and is 48V with display. It shows 54.6V when not hooked up to a battery. Currently the battery is installed in the bike and requires a...

BMS limiting my charge to 54V

I don't think I can measure each cell, the battery is welded together now. I had the battery opened up a while ago to fix a bad solder joint on a balance wire. The cell groups measured all the same then. The battery has been together since November 16. Assuming the BMS is doing its job, if...

BMS limiting my charge to 54V

I replaced my old 22P cells with 35E cells. Lately it seems I can only get the battery to take 52V (48V battery + 48V charger). I tried different chargers including a 52V charger. Today I charged it again and like before, 51.9V. If I turn off the charger and start over it charges...
