Good Idea. I have a "Gette" Think it's a 2010 model.

The Gette version of this bike is governed to 32kph. Remove magnet from rear wheel spokes to disable it. :D

Yeah mate, as long as it is 24v. I have thought about the ping 24v, 20 ah, reckon I could get 50klms of hard riding. :) Amp hours is simply how much fuel is in the tank.

Sorry Rusty but I have no idea where to source one, I suspect they may have been purpose made for Elation. Maybe using the pic and measurements (maybe make a template) you may be able to get one made somewhere. :) P:S I also checked diameter, it is exactly 45mm.

The Gette is the same. Doesn't need more volts but more amps for climbing, but how do you tweek the controller to do this?

Hi Rusty, I have v3 mk2, I will try to get to it and see how many teeth, I dont think actual size matters. May take me a couple of days though. :)

Hi Zx, There was two 'versions' of v2, mine is first version and I had to replace the "Dicta" freewheel once, it was simply bolted on. The later version I believe had a sprague clutch instead and think it may have been pressed into crank somehow. I also have v3, mark2, same as SWB and is still...

Have a friend who has a Gette, same bike, same motor and controller as r10. He also needs more torque for hill climbing, the answer is to increase the amps somehow,( I don't know how to do this) . Not increase the voltage. The controller on these bikes is rated at 7 amps, 15amps max.

Those bikes are usually speed limited ( under power) to 32kmh/20 mph. You can over ride this by removing the magnet, usually on rear wheel. However I'm not sure how the motor gearing will handle the faster speed.
