    Advise on Lifepo4 48v 30ah-40ah battery pack

By a small size factor i meant that there is no sense to install big BMS systems like Orion Jr or Elithion, that's where miniBMS were handy. I know charge/discharge can be controlled with charger/controller, and still bms system will be good to have. So i am looking for good 48v 30ah battery...

    Advise on Lifepo4 48v 30ah-40ah battery pack

The problem with Tesla cells is how to control charge/discharge with such a small size? For our previous (much bigger packs) we were using miniBMS, but it's discontinued. PMing anyway. Also it's cargo bicycle-scooter thing, not bike - was not clear in OP.

    Air Circulation for Battery Box

guys, thank you for all the advices. Seems like i don't need to worry about it. Measured with clamp meter - it's 100amp continuous nous, and the 'rides' are pretty short. Will test for couple of days, but for know seems like couple of holes for ventilation will be enough. By the way what...

    Air Circulation for Battery Box

Guys, i am planning to use aluminium battery box for 8 100ah calbs cells. The box will contain cells with installed MiniBMS cell modules. In terms of safety, what kind of air circulation is needed? Do this batteries become hot under usage? And is it required/recommended to have some kind of...

    Using Load Tester

Didn't though of that. How about using it for individual cells? Or what device should be used to imitate 100amp-150amp load? That's actually what i am looking for. Peak current(on acceleration) is about 150amp, after that it's much less. I want to see what levels are reached under peak load to...

    Using Load Tester

Need to test pack behavior under load. The pack is rated 24v (8s). Can i use this load tester and additional volt meter? The load tester is for 12v batteries, but i once can use it for all voltage pack, just should have external voltmeter(cause load tester won't show voltages higher than...

    Charger for 8s lifepo4 pack

Need charger to charge 24v 100ah calb cells pack. I will use the pack with BMS where shunting starts at 3.5v/cell. So i would like to charge to about 3.55v/cell leaving some time for shunting/balancing and at the same time not reaching 3.65v/cell which is default for most lifepo4 24v/8s...

    Bestechpower BMS

Just've read all the thread. Would these BMS work for high ah cells? Like 100ah calb cells? The biggest complain for Bestechpower BMS as i see so far is low balancing current. The highest they have are 144ma for D131 and D138, and 218ma for D170. Will it be enough to balance 100ah cell?

    8s LiFePO4 BMS recommendation

Guys, please recommend reliable BMS for 8 x 100ah calb cells pack . Continuous current 30amp, peak 60amp to be used with 24v 50amp brush motor. I've read lots of positives for bestechpower, is that the best way to go? Also are there BMS with screw terminals? so soldering is not required. It's...

Next best LiFePO4 cells after A123 and Headway

dogman dan thank you for your reply, NMC is the chemistry they use on Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf modules, right? It's one of the options i am considering. What you think about CALB cells? I've read people rate them better than A123(or chinese A123) on diy electric car forum
