By a small size factor i meant that there is no sense to install big BMS systems like Orion Jr or Elithion, that's where miniBMS were handy. I know charge/discharge can be controlled with charger/controller, and still bms system will be good to have. So i am looking for good 48v 30ah battery...

The problem with Tesla cells is how to control charge/discharge with such a small size? For our previous (much bigger packs) we were using miniBMS, but it's discontinued. PMing anyway. Also it's cargo bicycle-scooter thing, not bike - was not clear in OP.

Just've read all the thread. Would these BMS work for high ah cells? Like 100ah calb cells? The biggest complain for Bestechpower BMS as i see so far is low balancing current. The highest they have are 144ma for D131 and D138, and 218ma for D170. Will it be enough to balance 100ah cell?

dogman dan thank you for your reply, NMC is the chemistry they use on Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf modules, right? It's one of the options i am considering. What you think about CALB cells? I've read people rate them better than A123(or chinese A123) on diy electric car forum
