Yes you're right, I don't know the technical details, but these "charging stations" are nothing more than a very specialized power source with a heavy-duty breaker involved, and after more investigation, the outlet I am using was done properly, it has it's own dedicated 60a breaker on a 240v...
Hello all!
I have finally realized my dream of owning an (almost!) electric car!
Now I need to make sure I get a good level 2 home charge station.
Amazon has several from $300 - $600, I don't want something low quality or poorly supported, but if possible I'd like to stay towards the $300...
Looking to see what is available, I have seen a few here and there, but would like to see what others have found, it would be great if there were a cruiser frame out there (stretched cruiser even better!) but at least something in the "crank forward" or "flat foot" style like an electra! 8)
This is a very valid point, most people who do testing will tell you that up to 20 mph there is very little aero drag to deal with, and it gets more and more of an issue above 20 mph. At 30+ mph, your aero drag goes up exponentially!
That said, the limiting factor is the motor, a 750 watt...
Been busy working, so taking the time to make a build log so anyone interested can learn from my mistakes!
First off, if you plan on doing Uber Eats, your potential success is very much in the hands of fate meaning first off, you are NOT going to make any money unless there are...
Hello all, my beloved NuVinci N171b has finally got to the point that it is in need of serious over-haul, unfortunately, Fallbrooke Tech no longer supports it too the point of not even allowing any of their Invaritorc 638 fluid to be sold, so I am on the look-out for that or anything anyone else...
Good find, my difficulty is that I would want a off the shelf solution, not wanting to go back to the days of DIY packs, need something where I can have these cells, or similar in a complete battery.
Thank you for the info!
I'm curious about these, what chem are they? Also, I am looking for a plug-n-play solution, any companies that sell these or the equivalent off the shelf?
Hello all!
So I am back to my first love, LiFeP04!
18650's are all fine and dandy, but I realized after promising my trusty ole' a123 16s 1p (52v 20ah) pack to a friend, that it was STILL ALIVE AND STRONG going on 10 - 15 yrs old!!!
I had already promised the pack, so not...
I also found some great info from Sheldon Brown's website: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/shimano333.html
The grease is pretty reasonable for this hub, but wow, the oil form is pretty expensive! Gonna have to save up for the $70 "maintenance oil" that it should be dipped in every 5000 km (3107...
Great thanks all! I am ordering a new hub so I can swap out the internals assuming the hub shell isn't damaged (hopefully not since both 1st & 2nd work fine) and then I can see what is going on with 3rd, or if there is a difference in the length of the push-rods, both of these hubs were ordered...
