    Nkon not shipping outside EU?

I noticed that there are no longer any shipping options for Liion cells on the ru.nkon.nl site that work. Is this a temporary issue or have they given up navigating the wonderful world of shipping lithium by air?

Top Speed of Bafang Ultra vs. JuicedBikes CCX

The Bafang Ultra isn't a bike, its a 1000W mid drive system that peaks over 2000W depending on the bike configuration that uses it. The JuicedBikes Crosscurrent X is a bike, one that uses a Bafang 750w geared hub motor. With a 52v battery and a 25A peak current its likely peaking at about 1500W...

Illegal bike confiscation possibilities by police not up to date on newer laws

There is a good chance that the cop was just appeasing the person who called to make sure they were appearing to do something about their concerns. Still worrying, but the attitudes towards the bike would be a bit different if they are just driving past rather than responding to someone who...

    Donor for tall guys

You don't need an Ebike for a 2 mile round trip. It seriously wouldn't be worth the hassle, or the worry of it getting stolen. For short trips where you leave a bike often at the same place, get a cheap used push bike. You will be replacing it fairly regularly, and 1 mile each way is a very...

    Trail Z front disc brake

Haha, my mind was thinking hub but my fingers typed rim.

    Trail Z front disc brake

Disc brakes require two things that most rim brake bikes don't have. A rim that you can bolt a rotor too. The mounting point on the fork required for the caliper. Because of the this you will likely need to change the front hub and the front fork to disc brake compatible ones. You could do...

    Frame Hole Drilling...

Yeah I have considered those, but thought it may be difficult to find one that fits my down tube. If it was soft enough metal it wouldn't mater as could shape it accordingly, although my local hardware store only has steel saddle clamps that are big enough. Also, (I think) my down tube is...

    Frame Hole Drilling...

My controller is currently cable tied under the down tube, not far above the bottom bracket. I was considering installing some rivnuts/nutserts in the down tube to allow me to bolt the controller in place. Is this a bad idea? Its a hydroformed alloy frame.

A simple but practical and cheap EV range extender?

Does the car have an on board charger? Will the car drive if the charger is operational? If so you could build a 5kwh power bank with an inverter to charge the traction battery as you drive. Not the most efficient way to do it but probably the easiest if the car will drive while charging.

    Inter-Bike Communication

There's an app for that... There is quite a slew of 'push to talk' style communication apps available on both iOS and Android as well as cross platform compatible ones. I have never used one as I have never actually ridden with anyone (sad, I know) so I cant give any personal recommendations...

    Battery Consumption

Depends on the size of the battery I think. Cells under 20Wh and Packs under 300Wh can be sent without the Hazmat requirements. As to voiding warranty, is there anyway they can actually tell that you opened it?
