    Self-Discharge UPDATE On 30Q 141 Cells

If those cells which have a problem with self discharge could be healed by discharging to 2.5V, they all would repair themselve because those cells (or groups) would, so to say, go down to that voltage each cycle as they reach LVC of BMS before the controller cut power. From my experience it...

    E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

I think you wont be able to use Polychain as it has different tooth profile and if you would use it with 15T pulley it will crack in no time (>22T is recommended)

    Spring or air??

Sad but true. 1% improvement to previous model and 99% marketing bla

    Speedict neptune lite

Yes how true! would say it only works because for the most part these cables are located outside of the frame and have enough airflow. The problems are the connectors. If an ebike battery has been installed 100x it's contacts might wear out and the resistance increases, and big wires help to...

    Speedict neptune lite

If the wires are short, yes, it doesn't add much resistance, but i would not say that it can be ignored since it means that all other parts will heat up more and connectors could overheat and unsolder. 14AWG is definitely to small for a 60A rating and it was right and necessary to use 12AWG...

    Spring or air??

Yes thats true but thats probably because MTB or DH have other priorities. Weight is one of the most important things with all bicylce parts, and that Air springs can be much easier tuned and adapted to the conditions of the race track. Each has it's Pros and cons.

    Self-Discharge UPDATE On 30Q 141 Cells

Pretty interesting what you found out :thumb: If this desulfating would help to heal 30Q from selfdischarge, would be great, but i have my doubts since most BMS will cut off at 2,5V and then such groups should quasi heal themselves each cycle which seems to not be the case.

    Spring or air??

Yes the larger shaft is also a reason but main disadvantage is preload. Imagine what happens if you put a small weight (say 10kg) on a decompressed coil spring. The spring will compress a few mm, right? If you do the same on an air spring, you will find out that it's doing nothing because there...

    Spring or air??

As long as weight is not an issue YES, spring will always be better (with the right spring which doesn't need preload) because it has better sensitivity at the beginning of the stroke, whereas an air system always needs to overcome the preload first before it starts moving so it cannot respond...

Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

I am trying to understand the settings for PAS when using a torque sensor. My plan is to work out some basic values one can start with to get a smooth assistance (as usual ebikes feel) from 100W to something like 2000W max. As Torque sensor the Sempu 4.3 is known to work but also Erider can be...

    APL's DIY axial-flux motor

Exactly. A tiny gap between sidecovers and spacer to preload the bearing when assembled should be enough to remove axial play. Thats how it is done on most hubmotors (if sidecover screws are loose there usually appears a gap).

    Self-Discharge UPDATE On 30Q 141 Cells

30Q selfdischarge (test from docware): https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=103092&sid=abc8b7e2259830a0147f423c4c907f9f&start=500#p1613728 from 100% soc to 50% (3,7V) within 32h :lowbatt: :lowbatt: Would be bummer if 40T has similar issue. Can you share more infos? maybe...

    Self-Discharge UPDATE On 30Q 141 Cells

AFAIK most chargers cut off at 1/10 of the rated current and will not start charging again if you do not reconnect. You would need a Labor PSU set to very low current (similar to balancing current of BMS) and leave it connected. I would say it depends on the battery. For those packs with 30Q it...

Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

The 12F could be a bit weak for this motor and overheat if it doesn't get enough fresh air. Wheelsize and battery voltage also matters if you might be happy with it or not.

I need a light enduro frame for next build....

I would use Sapim Strong 13/14GA spokes with polyax brass nipples 😉
