    Super73 Z1 - Grintech Baserunner Build/Mod

I did, but ran into a problem -- their firmware cant handle the throttle being independent, took a long time to get a proper answer, i didnt use a CA but will probably switch to one just to get around this. The baserunner will work with a regular display that supports km5 protocol, but to say...

    BaseRunner z9 problems

I got a reply, figured it out -- somewhat: If anyone ever gets this, basically, the controller tries to start in hall mode but if it doesnt get it spinning within like 1 sec, it falls back to sensorless, if you enabled that, otherwise it seems to just cut off.

    Super73 Z1 - Grintech Baserunner Build/Mod

I'm doing a build with the baserunner myself, different motor. I have some similar issues with the start, but not as bad as you. One thing i noticed is that you never added a proper heatsink to it. The part with the 4 holes that you mount it that is made from metal is the heat spreader for the...

Bottom bracket sizing -- torque sensor install

Hey, I'm good at electrical and software, terrible at mechanical. I would like to update my pedal sensor to a torque kind but i cannot for the life of me figure what would fit. I tried to google, i tried to watch youtube videos, but they seem to gloss over the actual tube diameter and thread...

Phaserunner Android App - Anyone know how to get past this

I use an s22 ultra and it works when I click ok. Does it work with your laptop/pc might be the cable connection.

    BaseRunner z9 problems

I appreciate the advice, I tried to mess with the values and they seem to have absolutely no effect on starting, feels like it does its own "pre-set" thing using the hall sensors and doesnt care much for those values, pretty much nothing except trying sensorless does anything. There are a few...

    BaseRunner z9 problems

I replaced my original lishui controller with a baserunner z9, it has much higher ratings. I loaded defaults from grin (they had the motor listed). It uses a hall for start. With the new controller, the start is very rough - the motor will shake/rumble, it feels like a pulsating force rather...

Trying to upgrade the controller on my volt bike mariner

Some more updates - Picked up the baserunner Z9; It has 3 ways of being used, i planned on using a 3rd party display and using my current harness which is well embeded in the body. This was by far the cleanest but, unsupported option. I got most things working (well, with only light testing)...

Trying to upgrade the controller on my volt bike mariner

My apologies, i was asking if they (or you) happen to know of any controllers that can apply field weakening. Moreover curious if you'd happen to know how much this actually can help -- ie: if it cuts out at ~28km/hr would that realistically be able to push it to 35. I found this --...

Trying to upgrade the controller on my volt bike mariner

Amazing, I have never heard of this. Thank you for the detailed explanation! Would you happen to know of any controller that is capable of doing this? Thanks!

Trying to upgrade the controller on my volt bike mariner

Just in case someone finds this -- I performed the upgrade: 1. It was a pain in the arse, the kt controllers are bigger than lishui and it required some creative carving with my dremel to make the casing smaller. Just dont mess with the side the mosfets are on since its also a heatsink. But...

Trying to upgrade the controller on my volt bike mariner

I found that thread, apparently the controller needs to have an "-f-" in the model number to be programable. Mine sadly, does not. Thank you for the info on the pinouts, i assumed it would be standardized. I will make sure to double check them.

Trying to upgrade the controller on my volt bike mariner

My plan is to test that one out first and if solid, i will stick to it. Do you have any idea if all KT controllers support that functionality, or only some of them do? This was going to be my plan B, adding a torque sensor seems fairly trivial, but the custom firmware seems to be a bit tricky...

Trying to upgrade the controller on my volt bike mariner

[UPDATE] I performed the upgrade, check my last comment for more details. TL;DR: - KT PAS is miles better, only reason to upgrade. - speed limit cannot be changed, motor is RPM limited. - kinda pain in the ass to do since the controller wont fit without modifying the casing. - all wires are...
