Rusted Turnigy 6364 213kv motor screws

Thank you, I am using a soldering iron to see if the heating loosens them, I will keep at it. I have been a bit busy with my business but I need to sort this out. Is rust remover something that would be recommended? This seems to possibly be suitable...

Rusted Turnigy 6364 213kv motor screws

Thank you very much for the detail, but should I heat first and then oil or oil first, let it soak and then give and cool? Thanks.

Rusted Turnigy 6364 213kv motor screws

I have a dual motor mountainboard, one of the bearings was making a noise so when I decided to oil the bearing I found I can not remove the housing, the screws holding the housing are seized, has anyone had this issue with them? I would not have imagined that would even be a thing. What should...

    Short battery duration

Well to be honest I think you are right, I am looking at batteries again as these ones only get to 4.1V per cell instead of the 4.2V. At least they are all balanced in their capacity drop, I might try discharging them and recharging them. Either way if I get new batteries I will get bigger...

    Short battery duration

Amber wolf, these batteries have hardly been used, they have not lost capacity at least judging by my charger. The batteries I am using are Turnigy hardcase batteries which I think are around 25-35C. Hmmm well if that is the case adding on that extra weight does not seem such a good idea...

    Short battery duration

20 amp controllers or less? I do not follow. Do you mean i should use ESCs only up to 20 amps? The motors pull up to 65 amps I believe. I get a bit confused my the maths part of it I have ran it a couple of goes now, I don't think I get that much battery, when I have ridden it I have been...

    Short battery duration

Hello I have finally got my board going, I have a moutainboard with 2 X 6364 motors , Turnigy 200A Trackstar ESCs and 4X2s lipos 6000mah. I can run my board around for a bit until the batteries are flat but I could not go from town to town. IS there a way to get longer battery duration? I have...

    Blackened bullet connectors

I think you may be right, they have a sort or anodized coppery metallic look. I wasn't sure as I had read to make sure the parts were very hot to ensure a good solder. I should have specified, they are gold plated 8mm. They actual part where the male and female go together is okish it was...

    Blackened bullet connectors

Finally got my 63/37 leaded solder from China and when heating up the bullet connectors to solder them the connectors have gone a bit blackened/darkened. :? Will this affect performance? Is the black flux? Is it lead? Thanks

Cutting one red cable dual ESC dual motor build

Hi I am just getting bits together but have read in various plces that it is necessarry to cut one of the red wires on one of the escs to avoid it confusing the system. I am using 2X Turnigy 200amp trackstar and the red wire on both of them is already cut. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Choosing a battery for my board

Ok well I'm liking the one you linked for the higher mah, what about this oneX4? http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=21000 I could run them in srries using y cables. I thought they would with the tires, just need it for country roads to get from a to b. If you...

Choosing a battery for my board

Sounds cool, will do, at the moment I am the only one who is doing an electric bike/board but at least I have countryside to use it and I'm not stuck in the city. Ok I get where to put the Ubec now but will it interfere only having it on one side? Right now I am looking at this battery and...

Choosing a battery for my board

I live in the countryside outside Oxford. How much and what specs? You mean the input comes from the main battery that powers my motors? I read it needed a smaller les powerful battery. I wondered if it was a bit strong but surely good strong one coupled with a good battery would mean I would...
